Three and a half stars. Dinner was enjoyable. The only thing that let this place down for me was that the two things I wanted to order weren’t available. Maybe they had been really busy, I’m not sure but I was a little disappointed about this fact. Our food was really tasty and filling. The meals are very large so make sure you are hungry when you go!

So pleasantly surprised with this place. It’s not exactly local to us but a few friends had recommended we go there, so we took the drive last night and have to say it is my new favourite Mexican place in Adelaide. The service was very friendly and food was brought out in a very reasonable time for how busy it was. We shared the corn, pork burritos, potato skins, chimichanga which was also pork and some other toastadia things. All of which were so full of flavour and generous size also. The value for money here is a winner also and you can BYO wine or they have an extensive drinks menu to sample also.

It’s a nice little restaurant near pt. Noarlunga jetty. Very nice Mexican food. I enjoyed the food very much. Interesting décor. Stuff was friendly. However, I can’t really adjustify the price. Too expensive for what you are getting. It’s a nice place to try if you are down that way, but wouldn’t drive all the way out there just to eat there.

What a great night. Our table enjoyed an awesome mexican banquet feast. food was very yummy which compliments our jugs of margaritas nicely. Place was pavked so definitely book especially on a weekend. Was very noisy but with a very packed venue youbwill have to expect it. Staff were lovely and very attentive without being pushy. Will be back

Mexican amazing! A friend told us to check this place out, and as avid lovers of all things Mexican it didn’t take much to convince us to try it. We walked in at 6pm on a Thursday and were initially confused as they place was practically empty. We were greeted by a friendly waitress and although we hadn’t made a booking we were shown to a table with no hassle. Another waitress took our order soon after and we both decided to try the frozen Margaritas. They came out really quickly and tasted delicious!!! The Guava flavour was so good! More people had joined us in the restaurant by now and there was a nice vibe happening. Mexican music played in the background and we appreciated the themed décor. Our dinner order was taken soon after our drinks came out. I ordered pulled pork Nachos and my partner ordered chicken fajitas. His meal came out first on a sizzling hotplate. The smell was divine! My order wasn’t far behind. Both meals were delicious and the service was great! Both waitresses checked in on us to make sure our meal was okay and if we needed anything else. If I had any complaints it would be that perhaps my Nachos had too many beans on it, and the pulled pork went a little bit cold. I think it was due to the amount of cold ingredients piled on top of it but I wish the bottom layers had been heated up more. I would still go back there again. Especially because my husband was convinced that was the best Mexican he had ever had! The mains were well priced ranging between about $ 15 – 25. The service was faultless and we had a great time. It’s definitely worth checking out!

I have been deliberating big time over whether to write this review or not. Usually if I go somewhere & I don’t enjoy it, I give it a second chance before I review it. But I really don’t have any desire to go back to Tequila & Tacos after my experience there last weekend — so here goes. Tequila & Tacos is in a prime location in the township of Port Noarlunga & has the potential to be incredibly popular. It opened a couple of months ago now — I think it’s been open long enough to have ironed out some of the problems we experienced. We had booked a table for four for 6:30pm, however were running a bit late, so at around 6:40pm we tried called to advise we were still coming. There was no answer so we left a message. When we arrived just before 7pm(so we weren’t SUPER late — especially considering we’d tried to ring) we were seated at a table smack bang in the middle of the restaurant & were told that our original table in a quieter corner had been given to another group, as we hadn’t shown up for the booking. Ok, we could cop that one on the chin since we were late, but the table we ended up at(along with most of the other tables inside) had blinding sunlight coming through. We were all sweating within about five minutes & those of us facing into the sun had to keep sunnnies on for the most part of our visit. Time to invest in some blinds, I think! We sat there for at least 20 minutes with no one paying the slightest bit of attention to us. We had to flag a waitress over to ask to order drinks. I had seen some girls at a nearby table with delicious looking frozen margaritas, so I asked what flavour they had. It was guava, so that’s what I ordered. I got given mango flavour. Two others in our party wanted to order a premixed drink that they were advertising on the tables, only to be told they had run out of one of the flavours. We asked for table water which was brought over. With no glasses. After about another 20 minutes(probably around the same time we finally got to order our food) I had to ask for water glasses to be brought out. The two stars are for the food & how quickly it came out. Once we did eventually get to order, it was out within about five minutes and it was delicious. We had nachos to share to start, I had a burrito for main course & others had fajitas. Everyone commented how good the food was, but by then we were already so disenchanted with the service that it didn’t really make up for it. A quick trip to the loo & there was long hair in the white sink — gross! We ordered another round of drinks after dinner, which took AGES to come out. By this stage, most other patrons had left & we were getting the distinct feeling that we were about to be kicked out, as the staff were packing up chairs, etc around us. We would’ve left quickly, but remembered the ‘CASHONLY’ sign that was on the door when we had first walked in, meaning we had to go across the street to the pub to get money out. I know that some businesses struggle to get EFTPOS up & running in the first few days of opening but after a couple months, you would think they’d have it sorted. When we went up to pay, there was a couple of girls from another table disputing their bill — thankfully ours seemed to be correct. The terrible service & lack of care has put me off of going here again. Which is a shame, as in such a prime location & close to my house they had the potential to turn me into a regular. I really hope they sort themselves out soon so others can have a better experience, otherwise I’m sad to say that Tequila & Tacos won’t be around for long.
