Small place yet very comfortable little seats alongside the street, and the bonus is its convenient location. The staff are always young and friendly, and also very attentive. The coffee is good aroma, and food are quite nicely presented as well. Cash only is a bit annoying though. Would recommend it to friends to try.

Friendly staff. Yummy coffee with a variety of alternative milks. Gluten free snacks and satisfying breakfast sandwiches.

Thanks Unilocal. Needed a quick breakfast to start my day right. Found Bayswater Bru around the corner. Ordered a long espresso and Bacon Egg Sandwich. Received my coffee first so sat street side to read the paper and people watch. As mentioned coffee isn’t the strongest but hot and fresh with good flavor. The Sandwich was brought to me piping hot. The bun was fresh and the bacon still sizzling. Just the right amount of chili tomato sauce. Heading back this AM for more goodness…

The coffee here is good, it’s smooth. If you like a darker bean then this might not be for you. However, what makes this place is the staff! Even if the coffee sucked I’d probably come back here. They are so friendly and genuinely nice! Seriously, I walked away feeling so happy just because of the people working there.

Super friendly staff that always strikes up a conversation while you’re waiting– plus the place always smells like a mix of bacon and homemade muffins. Winning!!! Limited seating– it’s more of a grab and go spot but definitely a great place for coffee and/or brekky(limited options but all the standards you’d expect).

Struck by the taste for a sit down breakfast, I sauntered into Bayswater Bru(the usual haunt for my weekend hangover takeaway). The first thing you’ll notice is the ridiculously friendly staff. Beyond helpful. They know their locals by name; no easy task in the bustling yuppie residential zone meets vendor of 24⁄7 frivolity that is Kings Cross. The coffee is brilliant, but the toast leaves a fair bit to be desired. However you can’t go wrong with the vegetarian breakfast sandwich. Don’t forget to grab a muesli pot to go! Sitting down to watch the Cross wake up, I’m thankful for this tucked away tuck shop and the bounty it has to offer. EDIT: I was so invested in writting this review that my toast went cold.

Excellent coffee, good & friendly service, fast. Wish it were bigger so you could sit inside, but a good start to the day.

Fairly new to the Bayswater strip, this café has already gathered a loyal following. Head in for a coffee and you’ll definitely see why(yes, I can confirm that the eye candy rumours are true!). Fabulously located mid way along the Bayswater Road strip, Bayswater Bru has successfully filled a coffee void in the area. A few doors down Café Uliveto does amazing food and coffee, but is no good for take away coffee, or a ‘fast’ meal, whereas Bru is a smaller more relaxed venue, perfectly set up for people to pop in from the street for a coffee to go or a quick bite of lower priced, simpler café fare. If you feel like eating or drinking in, nab yourself an outdoor table. Ideally positioned to catch the sun and a great place to ‘see and be seen’ by the passing local street traffic. Very good coffee and incredibly friendly staff, this café is well worth a visit. Oh and did I mention the eye candy?
