I order deliveries from this place at least once or twice a month. I’ve never been in the store but the food that comes at night is awesome! Some of the tastiest sushi I’ve ever tried but even better we think is the hot food. In particular I always get the curry chicken, the chicken noodles, chicken skewers with jap Mayo, chicken and veg, and the goyza. Absolutely delicious, fast, and always hot! Delivery is $ 4 I think. I highly recommend, we haven’t had a bad experience.

Here for a quick takeaway lunch. Ordered the salmon/avocado and teriyaki chicken roll. Decently packed(it didnt fall apart) and good overall flavour. Great place of a quick lunchtime meal. To be frank, there’s nothing outstanding about this place. It’s there, it’s convenient if you’re in the area, and I happened to had a craving for sushi. That said, I have been here once for dinner. Never again. ’nuff said. Take my advice, and just do lunch.

I don’t know why this place has such high ratings. I really don’t. The high ratings are misleading. I went with such high hopes, only to have them dashed to the ground. One. By. One. So we hear the sushi fresh. There’s lots of praise for the freshness of the sushi, and it all sounds absolutely fabulous. We order with a smile. A grin, even. Eager, full of anticipation, for the delightfulness that is bound to come. But what came instead, was the silence of disappointment. In which we looked at each other, while trying desperately to come up with one good word to say about the food. «At least it’s edible?» was the best we could come up with. Perhaps the sushi is freshly made everyday, but by dinner time, the sushi is no longer fresh. It reeks of stale and freezer bite. The tamago(omelette pieces) is a strange colour, and the sushi is made palatable by the pure miracle that is wasabi.(which was not fresh wasabi, nor was it really tasty but it was by far the best thing at the meal despite coming in a sealed pack.) Perhaps the ramen is better. We hoped anyways. But it was not to be so. I can cook better ramen using instant noodles than the version that was served to us. Not only did it taste of just generic stock, rather than the rich miso or tonkatsu based ramen soup you’d expect, but the noodles were limp and overcooked to a point where we could barely hold it with our chopsticks before it fell apart. Oh Momiji, how you have disappoint. We quietly ate our meal and left to have a proper dinner somewhere else. It has been many years since I’ve had to do that. A silent tear.

The hue of this eatery is bright tangerine orange: this is unfortunate. Mumiji is a calm and serene safe haven from the rowdy carry ons in the café next door, and you can sit on a plastic chair, pull the rubber band off your little squeaky case, and enjoy the dependable happy of good sushi. Pretty standard selection nothing crazy, but this sushi is very very fresh, with a nice sauce and great overall flavour. The freshness of sushi is paramount, Mumiji seem aware of the fact. Did you know the colour orange is considered a stimulant and is known to increase appetite? Well played Mumiji, well played.
