If the Spanish Tapas of Randwick’s The Spanish Fly is not your thing, how about French Tapas? Yes there is such a thing and if there was not, then Montparnasse has invented it. Montparnasse is a café restaurant across the road from the Randwick Ritz cinema and they have created an interesting assortment of French Tapas. If you have never tried Escargot, here is your chance, don’t be grossed out by eating snails they are delicious, they taste like mushy garlic and butter. Also on offer is Terrine which is French Pâté, I often don’t like pâté, but I do like Terrine and they serve Filos Chorizo and Cheese, I am not sure how French Chorizo is but it’s delicious anyway so we can pretend. The Tapas concept is a great way to sample a variety of French foods if you go with a group, I love French food so it is a real treat. Also check out the cocktail list, it is quite impressive. Overall Montparnasse is a great little dining venue and has done a good job creating a French dining feel.
