Outback Jacks Bar & Grill Redcliffe

The only reason I’m even giving one star is for the polite waiter who had to apologise for one of the most poorly cooked meals my partner and I have ever had. Firstly, we both ordered steak; medium, with a side of salad only. The meals came quick enough, but that was probably due to the fact they were BOTH undercooked to the point my partner had it returned to the kitchen as it was too rare. (I put up with mine but only ate half) The waiter apologised profusely and then stated the ‘chef’ would add an extra side (this confused both of us since there’s only salad and potato options and we both specifically said no chips as we don’t eat potato) nonetheless we shrugged it off. Steak came out again; IT WAS THE SAME PIECE! This was a steak that had had a chunk eaten and sauce already poured over it when it went back to the kitchen-​just to paint a picture. The ‘extra side’ was… you guessed it, chips. No wonder the place only had a handful of customers on a Friday night with most of the staff leaning around on the furniture (not even trying to look busy) No discount was even offered (over $ 80 for 2 steak and salads) and for the first time in my restaurant life I wasn’t asked how our meals were, as they clearly knew we weren’t happy. Similar experience the first time we went over a year ago too. Not going to be given a third chance.

This is the worst restaurant in Redcliffe. Not only will somebody pay more than your average meal in the area, you receive a cold, small and pathetic excuse of a meal. I have been here twice and had ordered nachos, and fish and chips the next. These are some of my classic «can’t go wrong» meals, yet I left the place feeling hungry and unsatisfied.
The service matched the poor quality of the food. I wouldn’t come here again even if they halved their prices.

I’ve gone here more than once already because they make the most beautiful ribs ever and the steak is always perfectly cooked.
I would recommend this place for dinner over and over again because not only is the food great, but so are the people. The workers are respectful and can hold a good conversation.
The cocktails are pretty awesome too. Cocktail hour is between 5pm~7pm If you’re wondering.

Had dinner here with the family and really enjoyed it. Good steak and service.

Went on a Saturday night at 7PM and the place was about 80% full. Seemed plenty of staff running around.
After 15 minutes we had to usher a staff member over as no-​one bothered to take our food order.
Didn’t bother ordering a starters and went straight for the steak which took about 45 minutes to arrive. Food was good quality and the portion sizes were good.
We needed a drinks re-​fill and I expected this to be noticed without having to usher a member of staff again.
Once we finished the main course we browsed the sweet menu and, unlike the staff, we waited, waited and waited. Until we got bored and went and paid for the food.
Even thought the food was of good quality I will not be returning.

Was a great atmosphere, and I ate the challenge steak it was a kilo of steak half kilo of wedges and half a kilo of veggies Yum!
