Newly opened in Richmond. Great décor, excellent burgers and exceptional staff. Grilled Chicken Slider with Asian slaw to die for! They are bigger than the usual slider size so only order two if you have a moderate appetite. Terrific value. A great addition to food choices on Swan Street.

Grill’d has never failed to hit the spot for me. My personal favourite is the tuscan delight chicken burger. The chicken is so tender, and the toppings all so fresh. The chips are terribly hard to resist — that rosemary salt is incredible! Keep up the excellent work Grill’d!

Big, creative menu with different types of burgers(beef, lamb, chicken, vegetarian), good selection of beers and beverages, various sides, salads, et cetera. Had the Crispy Bacon & Cheese burger with a Panini Bun. Forgot to say no onions, but there weren’t too many of them on there anyway. Juicy with good sauce and nice tomatoes. Bun a little harder than I like them, but still a very enjoyable burger. Good chips and very tasty chili mayo; also tried the zucchini chips, which were basically deep fried batter with a little bit of zucchini inside, but still quite satisfying. Overall, this place deserves four stars(my all-time benchmark for burgers remains NYC’s Shake Shack), but all of the above is for nothing when you’re headed to the men’s toilet, and out comes one of the cooks who heads straight back to the kitchen without making use of soap and water to wash his hands. Maybe he washed his hands in the kitchen, maybe he uses gloves… doesn’t matter. A customer witnessing him not washing his hands is unacceptable.

What to say. I’ve had many a grill’d burger in my time. Lots to choose from, good on the wallet and consistently tasty. Can’t go wrong.

Where I live is equidistant between a McDonalds and a Grill’d. If I’m hungover, or fancy goo, I choose Maccas. Grill’d is the equivalent(to me) of making a burger from scratch. There’s lots of versions to choose from(I’m cheese and bacon) and some decent enough beers, also some esoteric ones no-one has heard of. Try them. PLUS when you spend a certain amount they give you a bottle cap to put in a community fund jar, at the end of the month, the funds are distributed evenly or something. Eating in, there’s communal tables and a really decent selection of foodie magazines, I am not sure if they do this across the chain, but this one has Jamie Oliver’s magazine which fits with the branding of this place. Takeaway is pretty fast — max ten min wait. The chips are pretty nice, but if you get a burger, and chips, youi’ll be stuffed.
