Had a good breakfast here some time ago and returned for a quick coffee. After twice sending back a simple long black coffee, both burnt and undrinkable, we left very disappointed. It’s difficult to find a bad coffee in Melbourne but unfortunately Mazarelli has taken poll position.

*For Transparency: this review was written after an unofficial Unilocal event* I’m sure many men will be pleased by this statement: sometimes smaller is better! Mazatelli immediately strikes you as the kind of place that you would find in the heart of Lucignano, small, well fitted, rustic but spotless. It manages to tread that fine line between comfort and cleanliness! It’s obvious that the owner values his food and prizes quality over quantity. As you walk in you are greeted with a view of an array of prosciuttos, olives and bottles of wonderful bubbles! Personally, as a rule, I don’t eat pork but this was all too tempting, if you’ve any kind of desire to watch your waistline don’t even bother stopping in here(a;though it makes an amazing cheat day restaurant). If you want a wonderful spot to top off an excellent Bridge Road outing I strongly recommend wandering in here!
