It’s your stock standard run of the mill nail salon. I’ve developed a slight phobia of getting sick from uncelan tools and I’m happy to report that they do sterilise their tools before use(well, I SAW the machine, fair assumption its used appropriately right?) I went for a pedicure, luckily it was a quiet weekday afternoon so an appointment was not necessary. The pedicure was quickly done, though I wish a bit more care was taken whilst cleaning the nails and doing the leg massage. I did feel at that time that the nail tech was trying to move me on as quick as possible. At other salons I have been to they usually have equipment to help your nails dry quicker but none of that was used here. I was quite disappointed that I basically had to wait for my nails to air dry– in this day and age I’ve become quite used to the instant fix! Overall, I probably wouldn’t go back. I’ve had better quality pedicures for the same price and sadly I did ruin a toenail after putting on my boots three hours after getting my nails done.

Let’s be honest, this is just another cheap and cheerful nail salon. You don’t need a booking as walk-ins are welcome. They have a huge range of polish colours. They offer shellac. They have a good deal on the mani-pedi combo. Manis are only $ 17 on their own. They have massage chairs that feature a weird bum massaging setting that you want to avoid(but can enjoy the back setting on its own). They don’t rush you out the door while you are waiting for your polish to dry. And they have lots of sterilisers(that you assume and hope they use). All in all, it’s close to home for me. They do a decent job, far better than I could, and it’s cheap enough. Tick, tick, tick in my book.
