I have been coming to Yum Cha Robina since it opened and in the past it was never anything out of the box– I was always more into the one on the Gold Coast Highway in Mermaid. Today however, changed this for me! I came here with my boyfriend for a cute, pre-movie lunch date and it was utterly packed but they managed to seat us very quickly. As soon as our bums were on the seats we had servers taking our drink orders and the first cart already offering us different types of dumplings and treats. Due to my seafood allergy I cannot eat a lot of what is on offer but I can tell you that the food items I was able to consume were fricken delicious! The standout for me were the BBQ Pork Buns and the Pan-Friend Pork Dumplings, very fresh and very tasty! I love Yum Cha and this little restaurant has finally won me over after all these years.

Always leave here feeling light headed/shakey. not sure what they cook the food with or if they are using additives but tummy also plays up straight away after we dine here. Have been here numerous times to make sure it just wasnt me. but sure enough its the food! Takes forever to get a drink served too. Not one of the good ones in my opinion. Sorry.

I’ve eaten a lot of Yum Cha. And quite a lot of it has been pretty darn good from around Melbourne, Sydney, USA& Asia. Forgive me from bagging QLD again, but I wasn’t expecting much. Imagine my surprise when the service was awesome, there was a ton of choices, and shock horror, it was even tasty! A little more expensive than what I’m used to, but for better than decent Har Gao, prawn rice rolls, pork buns, chicken Sui Mai amongst other things, I’ll keep going back when up for work. The service when ordering from the menu or an additional item trough the trolley girls is spot on. If you’re in the mood for dumplings, or in the area, get on it!

Yum Cha Robina does arguably the best yum cha on the Gold Coast. They definitely have the best service I’ve seen in Australia for a yum cha place… usually the food is excellent but the service is crap. Not the case here. Their dinner menu is also pretty good, and has some unique dishes not seen commonly elsewhere(which is always a big plus for me) such as sauteed scallop in bird’s nest. The only downside is that it’s a little on the pricey side for dinner. It’s really good, you should eat here. That is all.
