I had no idea this place existed… it’s next to a Bike Shop on Botany road and completely unassuming, but also completely delicious. If you come for lunch you can order from their pre-made take away dishes for cheap or get something fresh made to order. They make their own sauce as well as handmade noodles, and you can taste the difference. Pick a noodle and then pick a sauce, it’s that simple. They have daily specials as well. Pick from these pastas: Spaghetti, Fettuccine, Beef Ravioli, Pumpkin Ravioli, Spinach & Ricotta ravioli, Gnocchi, Penne, Tortellini Pick from these sauces: Bolognese, Primavera, Boscaoila, Amatriciana, Siciliana, Pesto, Puttanesca, Marinara, Italian Sausage, Adamo’s sauce They also have special pastas and flavours as well, like pumpkin gnocchi or squid ink. I tried the fettuccine with Adamo’s sauce and their five cheese ravioli. Awesome… It’s also the best place to get a coffee in the area after 3pm on the weekend, since they close at 4pm.

Adamo’s Pasta is Italian food that gets the job done. Like a plumber stopping a gigantic monkey, the vege lasagna really saved my hunger from being hit by a heap of wooden barrels. The lasagna hit the spot on a cold day, but is definitely a sometimes food. So. Much. Cheese. At $ 9 it beats most other local lunch choices, and the friendly staff will help you through the difficult task of picking your poison. If you’re ever in Rosebery then do your hunger a favour: save it from the big gorilla, visit Adamo’s.

I went to Adamo’s with a colleague for a takeaway lunch. We both wanted the pasta special, but I wanted to have half a container with pasta and half with a garden salad — I enjoy pasta but I like to balance the carbs with something lighter. When I requested this, I was point blank told that they ‘can’t’ do this. He tried to talk me into buying two separate(ie: larger and more expensive) containers of pasta and salad, but I wasn’t keen on that. Then my friend had the brilliant idea of her buying pasta, me buying salad and us splitting it at work. He complied, but did so begrudgingly. They get one star because the salad and pasta, as always, was brilliant. Not worth the attitude or hassle, so won’t be eating there again.
