So Ive been here a few times and will never return. I was having a beer with a mate, stayed until around 8pm and then was told I had to leave. Apparently wearing shorts was no allowed after 8pm. Mind you dozens of woman were walking around with shorts on, very short skirts or wearing very little. I complained to management the next day and they didn’t really care. So if I come back ever again, I will document my visit and Ill be more than happy to take them to court for sexual discrimination. If you want to be treated like a second class citizen come visit this place,

Very satisfied with The Brewery! Not only is it a great clubbing atmosphere for young people on Thursdays but it can be very family and dining orientated. I often come here for friends birthday dinners and family get-together lunches. It has a large kids play area and it can get rather full and noisy during the day so id recommend booking and going at a later hour if you want a relaxing meal with friends. Prices can be steep but are worth it. There is also many great dinner deals, including very cheap steaks, schnitzels and chicken dishes depending on the night for around $ 10 – 13. Came on my birthday and got a schnitzel with chips for only $ 12 and couldn’t finish the whole thing. Very worth it. Was also very happy with a burger I ordered, served on a unique wooden tray. Very rustic with an Australian themed layout with many tables and spacious areas, outdoor and smoking areas, separated kids areas etc etc Bar does not fail to disappoint with many drink options and beers very nice quality

Not impressed. Overall the presentation of the how building looks is wonderful, gorgeous material design. The place looks very high class, so one would assume it is. However upon entering, it was packed with customers, most of which were little children screaming everywhere. Putting that past, we then ordered our meal. Unsure of which desk to order at, we asked a chef who abruptly told us to go around the front. At the front, the order staff were kind and took out order quickly, however eluding o the fact that there were no tables currently available as most were reserved. For 10 minutes after ordering we searched for a table to no avail at which point we asked the order staff to help, only one bothered. After another 10 minutes a fold up table was assembled. Quite poor form considering the meal for 4 people(single course mind you and no drinks) was $ 95. Luckily, the food was good, but was tainted by the past negative experience. Most likely won’t be returning again.

I love microbreweries, & when they serve good food, too, I dare say I fall in love with them. The Australian Hotel & Brewery proudly showcases their brewing tanks in the front of the dining area, which also features a «Kids Dining Room & Adventure Playground». In the back are billiard tables, a standing bar, & keno. Very family-friendly. Each weekday features a different special, & on Wednesdays they have pub trivia(which I have yet to try, but want to). So, the reason you’re reading: the food & beer. Let’s start with what’s important. Their beer is great, so far as I’ve sampled it as yet. I’m not a fan of steam ales in general & true to form, I found theirs bland, but overheard many other patrons discussing how great it is, so it must just not be to my taste. The Mexican, on the other hand — brilliant. I’m not good with beer terminology, so let’s just say I like it so much I don’t feel the need to even try anything else. But a true Unilocaler would never stop at one, so today I’m dutifully trying another, & I have to say that the Pale Ale is quite nice, too. It goes well with both my salad & my partner’s fish & chips, which I’m shamelessly pilfering. So, the food. It’s good. It’s quite good. It’s not brilliant, but considering the place is huge, the kitchen is open, & they use buzzers to alert you when to get your food, I didn’t expect it to be. Some quick thoughts on the dishes I’ve tried: Garlic Bread($ 6): very tasty. We order it every time. Pulled pork roll with chips & coleslaw($ 18): fantastic flavour, but ever so slightly dry. This is a crime I’m willing to overlook given the taste. Portuguese chicken & chips($ 10 on Wednesday): not sure what they think makes it «Portuguese», but it’s tender & moist & the salt-&-pepper flavouring is lovely. Chicken & avocado salad($ 17): rather simple, but very good. Really hits the spot when I’m craving something light. Beer battered fish & chips($ 26): a bit more heavily battered than I usually prefer, but not problematically so at all. I quite like it. The tartare sauce is super tasty.
