There are rumors circulating both the pub scene and the primary school play ground that suggest playing with your old fella can make you go blind! I would like to set the record straight once and for all. It may or may not be true! All I know is my eyesight is terrible and I have been wearing glasses for over 10 years… read in to that what you will! Framed Optical at Semaphore is a relatively basic eye sight improvement dispencery(thought that title was more impressive than ‘glasses store’). They stock a variety of mens, ladies and ‘those who can’t decide’ frames ranging from the super hip to the ones built to get you beaten up for your lunch money! The store is nice and all, but If you are looking for a new face and want the biggest selection, head to Rundle Mall and check out the dozen odd stores within walking distance of each other.

This shop sells the widest range of unique frames that I’ve seen in Adelaide. I disagree with Scott on this one — stay away from Rundle mall, because the glasses shops along there sell all the same stuff! Ditto for Marion Shopping Centre and TTP. The owner of this store is a lovely guy who also offers to fix broken glasses. He takes real pride in his shop and works hard at sourcing a wide range of original frames. There are definitely some statement glasses in here, with lots of styles that are very simple if you look from the front but with a lot of detail at the sides. You’re likely to find something that really suits you here, if you’re looking for something a bit more interesting than an ordinary pair of frames. I’m so tempted to break my new ones just to come back here!
