Hogs Breath Cafe

We went there for an early dinner so it was fairly empty on a Saturday night.
We were given a high table near the balcony and bar area. Stepped outside and you would be treated to a gorgeous view of the rolling green hills and crystal clear sea and blue sky before night fall.
I had the Byron Bay Chili Prime Rib which was a beautiful piece of meat. The traditional cut was substantial and the pink center against the charred exterior was just delicious. The coconut and chili sauce with a heat rating of ⁷⁄₁₀ was actually not that spicy to those who can take spicy food. You can choose 2 sides and I had the baked potato (lovely) and mixed veggies (hold the sauce or have it on the side, I regretted having it on them).
My friend had her usual order — char grilled pork cutlet which came with grilled pineapple (so sweet and delish), bacon and onions, plus jalapeño jelly on the side. The japapeno jelly was spicier than the Byron Bay chili and I used that for my beef. I had a taste of the pork cutlet and it was so good. A winner!
As the portion is quite big, go with an empty stomach or share with friends. Have a drink too. A great casual dining restaurant with good food is always a keeper.
