Had dinner here on Saturday night. Agree with the previous review that the renovations have done wonders for the place.
I had the sirloin steak with chips and salad, the steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare, as I requested, and the salad and chips were delicious. My husband had a trendy chicken parma which he rather enjoyed.
There was a good selection of beers and cider on tap and a DJ playing a relaxing mix of old and alt rock. Great spot!

The Local Hotel has blossomed beautifully from what was once the dinghy «old man’s pub», The Seaview Hotel. This large corner pub has transformed into what it should always have been — a hangout for the South Freo locals.
The renovation has created a light, open pub with whitewashed walls that emphasize the exposed dark jarrah floor boards. With several areas to choose from, you can sit alfresco out the front on the sidewalk, take a high table in the front bar or be seated at one of the dining areas out the back.
It offers a selection of beers and cider on tap, good spirit selection and wines. The pub grub is tasty with daily specials alternating between the hearty hot dogs and lighter salad based meals. It’s become a favourite and I’m sure will continue to be a preferred hangout over summer.
