super typical melbourne sushi, in that, it’s mostly not regular sushi at all. cheap-o burrito-y type sushi rolls. Got a pre-made nigiri dealy-bob and it had some kind of particle on the not so fresh fish.

We stumbled upon Oki 2 Go when we were in desperate need of some quick nosh during a rapidly moving lunch break. Initially sitting in a ‘fancier’ restaurant across the road, we realised«ain’t nobody got time for that» and thought, stuff it, Japanese is always fast. Sure, Oki 2 Go doesn’t look like much. In fact, it just looks like your dime-a-dozen Japanese sushi shop, but if you head inside and actually have a look at their a la carte menu you will see endless deliciousness. I went for the Bento Box because a bad bento box simply does not exist — they are always good, satisfying and speedy. Oki 2 Go have multiple boxes to choose one but I went for the safe traditional. My partner on the other hand went for some teriyaki chicken and rice — fresh, delicious and again, speedy. I’m not going to call this a destination diner, but if you are in the area and want something tasty, satisfying and most importantly speedy(have I mentioned they were speedy?) look no further. Your easy peasy lunchbreak destination.

Good value sushi. We had the sashimi platter and the sushi variety plate to share between 2 of us and it was perfect. The seaweed salad was huge for a side dish. Very friendly staff as well which was nice! Great for people watching from the front window.

This Japanese restaurant is in the perfect place! It’s great after a hot summer’s day to be able to stop by and get some nice takeaway on the way home from the beach. The Sushi is super fresh and all the food is really good quality. Definitely an added bonus to a stop by the beach!

These guys are fantastic. We have gone there a number of times and they even remember our names now! Sushi quality is fantastic as is all their food. Top notch service and food worth every penny! BYO wine is a great touch too!

This Japanese restaurant is extremely welcoming, friendly and yummy! I love sushi and feel like any good strip of shops has to have a high quality Japanese take out place. This is the Acland St version. It’s always fresh where it’s perfect for a quick and healthy take away lunch where they have set it up really nice so it’s good to sit inside or outside as well. All the food is very high quality where there isn’t much in the way of Japanese in the area so must get a lot of business. The bento boxes are great there where all the items aren’t overly expensive where you can get a filling box for around $ 15. Got to try it if you’re looking for a quick bite on Acland St.

Oki to go, oki to stay, oki any time of day! The freshest, most appetizing sushi is at Oki 2 Go. I guess they’ve no excuse for not having the freshest seafood, after all they’re on the doorstep of the bay but seriously, this is good stuff. At first glance Oki 2 Go may look like your typical walk in-walk out questionable sushi joint, but take a closer look and a step inside and you’ll realise its actually quite an upmarket place. The lighting and red colouring of the décor adds to the authenticity of the Japanese restaurant. Larger than it appears, open til late seven days per week, BYO wine, dine in and take out options, Oki 2 Go won’t disappoint. Selecting where to eat can be a hard choice when in Acland street but trust me, Oki 2 Go certainly holds its own in the dining mecca of St Kilda. Tip: If you’re a fan of bento boxes, choose the Oki Bento, mmmm oishii!
