So… It’s ok. I wouldn’t really be in a rush back there any time soon! I’d get over the fact they forgot my order, if the food was more than just mediocre. I ate with a group of friends, we all had pretty much the same meal which was inconsistent. The staff tried their best, but felt a bit unorganised and felt they were unprepared and under pressure for the number of customers on the night. I’d give them the benefit of the doubt but the food lacked any kind of flavour. They also forgot the chips 2 friends ordered which never appeared! I will remark that while I didn’t have a burger the buns were big and floury definitely more bread to meat ratio! They also seemed to be out of some menu items that we tried to order. The chips were good overall though!

Burger was pretty good. Had to take a couple stars off for forgetting our drinks and for playing Nickelback. Pretty cool industrial aesthetic.

Hey, that’s pretty alright. Good burgers. Average service. They forgot our drinks. Interesting aesthetic. Grubby tables. Cheap plates and cutlery take away from the experience somewhat.

The service was very good, greeted at the door and shown to a table on a not very busy weekend afternoon. I liked the option of having a small or large sized burger. We ordered the Rocky Mountain High and the Swiss Smith burger, as well as the bacon and cheese tater tots. The beef patties were nice and well cooked without being dry, and all the ingredients were fresh. The Swiss Smith could have had a few more mushrooms on it, only 3 slices was a bit sad. The buns were very floury and left flour all over the table and ourselves! Overall the burgers were quite bland and lacked that something special. The tater tots were also lacking in flavour and despite eating two of them I didn’t have any bacon. The café itself is quite pleasant and light but the music soundtrack was set on «dismal country» and was quite off putting. Overall it was okay but probably won’t be back in a hurry.

I left a good review on behalf of myself and my boyfriend a few weeks ago. I would like to change my opinion completely. Have come here three times. First two times the chips were perfection. Shakes and smoothies are great. Burgers were tasty. In short: we were happy. We came back a third time and got the usual. We always drive home(5 mins) and devour with a movie. We did the same this time… Except when we got home the food was completely different than the last two times. The chips were soggy and there was zero seasoning and flavour. The burners were awful and were given in floury buns instead of the seeded buns advertised on the website menu. We called to explain we had our first horrible order — that we had always had amazing experiences and were devastated to have lunch ruined. The lovely waitress took our details, apologised and said we would be called by the manager. Two weeks passed. I phoned up a few days ago and spoke to a guy who also took my details, apologised and promised the manager would be in touch soon. So! Where is the management follow up? We have scoupons left to use but we don’t feel like wasting them/our money on chips with no salt, which seems a pretty surprising standard for a place that can clearly do really well. Also what’s up with not having the same buns as shown on the menu? Confused :(and really disappointed by the lack of contact back, more than anything. That kind of lack of customer care has canned any desire to go back. We were making burgers a regular theme from here and now we are simply using our last scoupon to get rid of it. Will never be back. And please note — my first review of BF was written while driving home with the add premonitions horrible food. Kinda added insult to injury that we had been so chuffed and basically lied unintentionally.

The burgers at Burger Foundry do tend to vary. The buns are very bready, which can be satisfying if you’re super hungry. I’ve found the service to be good each time i’ve visited, though if it’s busy, the wait can be excessively long. The chips are pretty good, but I must say my favourite menu item are the sweet and sticky ribs. As for burgers, the Blue Steel is awesome for something with a bit of bite — thanks to that delicious blue cheese. Overall, probably not best if you’re not looking for a big meal, but if you’re hungry for burgers, these are some of the best around. :)

Burger foundry’s quality has fluctuated every time I have been there. The burgers are huge and could probably be scaled back a bit but these guys are creative and are always trying new recipes. They make beef(my favorite is the Texan madness with chipotle chillies), chicken(including their great Jamaican jerk chicken burger), mushroom and even beetroot burgers. Their onion rings are great but also huge and they also do ribs and regular chips or «mozzarella and bacon tater tots», which I haven’t tried yet but think I will have to. Burger foundry also use local ingredients like beerenberg relish which I use on all my burgers at home so these guys are doing pretty well in my books. The new restaurant looks great and has an American vibe so it’s worth eating in. I think they just need to tighten it up on quality but apart from that they’re a pretty good burger joint.

Food was good, burgers were ample but service could’ve been better. Just a couple of mistakes which were happily rectified. Our group were all happy we went there for the first time.

Trying out another top rated burger shop in Adelaide. I like the décor with open space. Staff are very friendly, saying hi as we walked in the door and asked feedback during dining. BUT, they try to promote new burger with sign on each table, but it was not available when ordering. I ordered Aussie beerburger instead and it’s HUGE. I don’t think it can fit in any human mouth, I had to use knife and fork to eat a BURGER. I really like the chargrilled flavour, but unfortunately my patty was over cooked. Hand cut chips were soggy and lacking seasoning. The food is a bit over priced. No heating inside on a very cold day. Overall, I think it’s worth to give it a try, I did like the flavour.

Warning! A big appetite can be sated here — the burgers are huge! At approx. $ 14 a burger(some more some less) this place could be considered expensive except for the fact that it’s almost 2 meals. There’s an amazing array of flavours on offer and more than 1 vegetarian choice. The chips(an additional $ 4) are thick cut and delicious. Go when hungry!

Ok so anyone who’s read a review of mine will know I have mixed feelings about the recent burger craze. On one hand I see a lot of chains now producing rustic stores with dim lighting and mismatched furniture with highly priced gourmet burgers. On the other hand, this is preferable to yet another McDonalds. Burger Foundry gets full marks from me. Straight away when I walked in I like the place it was dimly lit the rustic feel about it and they had the ‘500 days of summer’ soundtrack playing. Maybe I’m a little bit hipster. I ordered a tofu burger which came with kimchee, an interesting mix and I rather enjoyed. Very important there is craft beer on offer here. I love craft beer. It was hard to decide between a beer for a milkshake. Beer won! I like to take my time with food and I really appreciate a place with the kind of ambiance I feel comfortable spending a long time in. Great stuff Burger Foundry, I will be a repeat customer for sure!

Finally got to Burger Foundry(it’s on the other side of town from me) and Yes it’s a good Burger Place. I tried their country special Christmas Gobbler(A Turkey patty and slices of Ham and roast Pumpkin. All in all it was pretty good. The patty was a bit dense and dry, but that could be the turkey… The meal came with some Sweet Potato Fries. The first lot arrived cold. Not a good start, but when I handed them back to the waitress she immediately got another lot. Does this happen often I wonder. I’ll give them another go, when they open their closer Torrensville Store. They could be in the top 10, but not one of the top few burger places.

So so grateful for this burgerhaven! Our answer to late night dinner. As we have been busy working on our house the last 5 months trying to get it ready in time for xmas, we dont leave the worksite till late. Most places are shut by 9pm and we are usually left scouring the streets(or Unilocal) for alternatives to hungry jacks or macDs. So when I was craving for a burger last night, he suggested coming here even though we knew chances were slim theyd still be open. I couldnt happier to see that lights were still on and some burger flippin”! didnt think id managed much of the giant burger but the first bite got me wanting more.

I can’t speak about the burgers, because I didn’t try them. We came here late in the afternoon, and didn’t want to spoil dinner but we were hungry, so this was our afternoon tea choice. Which, it turned out, was a happy choice. We got a serve of onion rings and a serve of potato balls with mozarella and bacon to share, and each of us got a peanut butter milkshake. The staff were polite and friendly, and service was quick and efficient. The food was hot and freshly prepared, which goes a long way. The shake was fantastic, not too sweet at all but definitely tasting of peanut butter. The onion rings were great, oniony and crispy, but the winner here was the potato balls, which were creamy and cheesy and potatoey and bacony and crispy and lost of other words ending in ‘y.‘ So for quick snacks and shakes, thumbs up!

I love a good burger, and Burger Foundry definitely lived up to my expectations. Located on Magill Road, it is just the right location that you don’t feel like you need to dress up(like if you were going to Norwood or into the City). There is a very friendly and neighbourly vibe about BF. I said to my sister that it felt like we were in a trendy burger joint in USA. There was a great mix of young people, families and older people — which is great to see. The staff are super friendly and ready to offer menu suggestions and assistance. My burger was great, the chips was nice and the tater tots were amazing! We also ordered peanut butter milkshakes which were nice, but as a peanut butter lover I thought they should have been more peanutty. Overall, I’m a fan of BF and will definitely visit again.

This new burger place is not bad in amongst the crave of newly opening burger joints around Adelaide. It has serious competition between Fancy Burger and Grilled though. I went in there one afternoon for an early dinner. The place is very new age and sharp, clean, trendy and co-ordinates well with the rustic look places are using nowadays. It was fairly quiet with only 2 other tables in use. I also noticed they have three TVs installed all playing different channels. The prices are slightly more dearer compared to its competitors, and I feel some of the ingredients are average– fairly stock standard with no great surprises. I ordered a $ 15 burger called something like«Aussie Beerenberger»(see pictures page for the visual). You can choose from 2 different roll types– a seeded or a plain. The finished product was huge! It comes with the beef patty, tomato, beetroot, bacon, egg, cheese, lettuce and couple sauces. It tasted fresh and juicy … although it was probably too juicy. The egg and the sauces were running off the burger and all over my fingers. Luckily there was a ample supply of napkins sitting on the table with me… And it being huge I struggled to eat it, let along finish it. I tried to eat half of it with a knife and fork, but it still didn’t really work. I did enjoy it though, it definitely filled me up. On the upside I did notice this place does offer quite a few other things on their menu. For one they are liquor licensed serving beers, and maybe Ciders. An espresso machine with full coffee menu. They make up fresh smoothies, made with real ingredience. I also noticed they serve Ribs although I didn’t really study this section of the menu. They also offer meal deals with their burgers, offering a side of chips or onion rings with a coke product for roughly $ 6 to $ 7 extra. I did enjoy dining at Burger Foundry. I would say its good for groups who are willing to try something not necessarily orginial, but still quite tasty, and maybe slightly dearer than other places.
