To the left to the left, Unilocalers in the house to the left… It costs about $ 15.80 for the buffet lunch and $ 22.80 — $ 26.80 for the seafood dinner buffets depending on what’s on offer, like Oysters etc. I don’t even eat seafood much, except fish, but as this was the only place open that looked okay it is where my friends and I headed. After we paid at the counter, we were seated and left to our own devices. Grab a plate and go go go! Off we went. The plates could have been larger to be honest, but I guess it gives you exercise going back to the buffet several times. For the seafood lovers, there are prawns, oysters, fish, lobster… and it would seem like it would be worth it. And it is for many many patrons as I noticed the restaurant fill up with hungry eater meaters. For the non-seafood inclined, they had a selection of roasts(beef and ham) along with your roast sides(mashed pumpkin, roast potato, cauliflower in watery cheese sauce). They also had spaghetti noodles(still in water, which I by-passed… thinking not great thoughts about the water and the noodles people were supposedly eating floating in the water) they had a range of honey chicken, fried fish, custard balls and fried noodles… all very average… nothing really stood out for me there. The roast beef was okay, the gravy tasted funny… they have chips as well. It’s like a chinese meets western buffet, but even the western meals taste a bit chinese for some reason. Drinks are an extra $ 2.60 or you can buy them at the bar… they provide tea/coffee with the buffet. The idea is a spectacular one truth be told… but the execution not so great. They ran out of bowls for the soup and plates for the people many times causing a bit of frustration and wait time, the desserts looked okay but only tasted semi-fresh. Everything was a bit average… but I can see if you’re into your seafood it might be worth the money? I don’t know if I’ll be in a hurry to head back here because I left feeling a bit queasy still thinking of the floating spaghetti… hrm!
