After a long discussion and no decision made as to what we were having for dinner we decided to go out to eat. We were walking through SOP when we decided on Ribs & Rumps. The restaurant was quiet so we managed to get a table for 2 without a booking. First came the drinks, I had the caramel coconut espresso martini. It was nice however left a horrible aftertaste. Then we ordered — cheese and garlic baguette for starter, I had the sliders with onion rings, the boy had the wagyu burger with chips. The baguette was melt in the mouth nice fresh bread, the contents of the sliders were delicious the bread however was so chewy and the wagyu burger wasn’t the best it just tasted like a standard beef burger. Then came desert we ordered the molten cake and the mousse. The deserts stole the show. What can I say, chocolate with a side of melted chocolate! Delicious! Time to pay… We asked the waiter for the bill and mentioned we were paying with card which was met with a response of «I’ll get the eftpos machine at the same time so you can pay at the table» we thought great a nice quick exit. Nope! No sign of our waiter after that. Fifteen minutes passed so we made our way to the counter to pay instead. It was disappointing because the staff had been really attentive all night, that just ruined it.

Good spot to grab dinner before a sporting event! Or work lunch. We grabbed their express lunch menu which runs from 12 – 3. All items are served in 15 mins. 14 options from $ 15 I went with the sliders. Three kinds including chicken, pulled pork and beef. Perfect bite size and really yummy except they all had the same coleslaw-sauce and I would have preferred a bit of variety. Colleagues got the veggie lasagna, chicken burger and wings. I’ve had better wings but the chips are crispy and salty!

I came across this place while out for a jog at Olympic Park and just wanted a spot of lunch. I felt compelled to review it mainly because the staff here were so friendly and polite. The food was on the heavy side — As expected though! The cheesy garlic bread and the sausages(entrees) stole the show for me, very tasty. I ordered the mushroom burger as my main which had a bit too much feta(never thought I’d say that about feta), but overall it was a great meal.

Came here after the Easter Show! I was afraid there would be a long wait seeing as Russell Peters was apparently on that night as well. Luckily we only had to wait about 20 minutes. Not bad for a Saturday night. Ordered two combos: lamb ribs & rump + pork ribs & rump. JUICY ribs. Thoroughly enjoyed. The meat was cooked well; medium-rare just as meat should be cooked. Loved how chunky the steaks were… but be sure to cut small bite-sized pieces or be prepared to chew your jaw off! The chips were boring and honestly not very nice. I still ate them after drowning them in tomato sauce because tomato sauce with anything tastes nice to me. Also had a baby greek salad on the side and it was done nicely. We did not finish the meal with meat sweats because we shared those dishes between four people. I applaud anyone who can finish the combos on their own. I double applaud anyone who even dares attempt the«Meat You Match» Challenge! Really, I hope to go back soon! I’d also like to thank the Entertainment Voucher Book for giving us 25% off… Ahhh the Entertainment Book — just like time share: paying for itself already!

Best ribs and chips ever! Beautiful to eat at the restaurant, or just to take home and enjoy with the family. It kind of makes me want to go camping if that makes sense hahaha. Sit by the fire and eat my ribs haha.

They have really good burgers and their onion rings are amazing. Some of the burgers are slightly overpriced considering you need to order fries and drinks separately. If you would be eating here, you would be looking at an average of 11 $-18 $ for a burger.

First, let me confess that I was embarrassed to be going to a restaurant with this name and expect my husband to question me when he sees the credit card statement. I went here with a colleague when attending a conference nearby. We were actually looking for salad but somehow ended up here. Luckily they had 2 salads on offer and you can get lovely side salads instead of chips with almost anything you order. We had a shredded steak sandwich(was a bit oniony) and grilled fish. The fish was lovely. I am not usually one to go to a steak house for fish, but it was fresh and light and a decent size. Service was mediocre. A bit of confusion as to who was going to be our waiter led to our needing to ask for water 3 times, but nice folks working here.

Going to give this place a straight up 4 stars because they were able to find us a table without a booking during a big game event. Service was really attentive and efficient, brought out our beers immediately after our drink orders and the timing in getting out our entrees and mains was quicker than McDonald’s. We started off with Australia’s national dish, salt and pepper calamari that was tender and lightly battered while the garlic bread was warm and crusty with just enough butter and garlic. As others mentioned this place is a meat place so went for the Ribs, Ribs, Ribs option which came in a large white plate with chips. The BBQ sauce is the sweet style which I enjoyed with my Stella beer and the pork and lamb ribs were cooked slowly to fall off the bone and finished off on the grill to caramelise the BBQ sauce. The char marks just gave it the delicious smokey taste. The beef ribs on the other hand was just a little bit tough and chewy. I’ve eaten here before on a quieter day and they definitely nailed it before just not today. The place definitely did well to cater during a big event and still managed to deliver.

Food is fine. Have been here several times. Steaks are good. I prefer the RIBs sauce at Hurricanes. Service was decent also. You just need to book.

Been here 4 times. First 3 times was an awesome experience. Foods great! Nice casual ambience. I tried steak, steak and more steak. Yes, I love my steak. Even the selection of cocktails are very enticing. Now back to the steak. it’s pretty good! I ordered medium rare and it was a perfectly cooked medium rare piece of steak. So definitely a plus side since it’s known for its steak(& ribs). Negatives? PARKING. It’s at Olympic Park and at night time it can get a bit hectic especially if there is an event on like a sports event or a concert. Not the best experience parking wise and it can sometimes annoy you. Waiting for a table is a bit long too if it’s a full house. Better book a table a day or a couple days beforehand especially if you have a big group. Oh &GIRLS, if you are wearing heels, BECAREFUL! The floor’s a bit slippery. I nearly slipped! Plus, for some reason, it gets a bit warm inside. Too warm that I got a headache. So order some water while your waiting for your food(or a beer or two). Well that’s my two cents! Cheers!

Is there any other place to go for ribs and rumps? It’s awesome here… It looks a bit pricey at first hand but… It’s well worth it! Desserts are awesome too — good place for a good feed!

I go here for the big chunks of meat. I mean is there any other reason to? They know their meats and they do them well. You get your choice of steak, lamb, chicken, pork — you can have ribs, rump or a combination. There’s even the whole challenge of eating a kilo of steak and ribs to become a VIP! That last bit is a bit too much for me, but hey, apparently others have tried where I fail at the sheer mountain of meat. I’ve also eaten their fish mains and they are grilled to perfection as well. Oh and their cocktails are quite the nom. It can turn out to be a pricey night if you are having drinks as well, but honestly, sometimes the meat is worth it. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. What more could you ask in a meat, meat and more meat restaurant?

Let’s get the bad stuff out of the way first: one, Ribs And Rumps is a little bit pricey. Not a lot, but enough to give a moment’s pause. Two, on an otherwise not that hot but sunny day, this place was sweltering. Now, to the good stuff: the rump steak I ate here was the softest, most tender steak I have ever eaten. No other way to put it: it was silky smooth. I ordered the surf and turf(I always feel like an idiot saying that phrase) and the steak was cooked perfectly rare, the sauce was subtle, and the prawns were very juicy. The quality of the cut here outweighs the minor inconveniences of the venue, and the service was excellent. I wish my home steaks were this tender.
