After a hard day’s work, I was excited to go to Huge’s Lounge. Upon entering, I find out that there is a cover charge of $ 10, which I was ready to pay. I paid it and then went in and there were few people dancing, mostly people looking around. Five minutes later, I go back onto the deck where the people are being let in to wait for my friend to come and suddenly a bouncer comes up to me and tells me that I need to go. Confused at first, I ignored him because I thought he was trying to hit on me. My mistake. I realize that he is a bouncer and he is asking me to leave so I ask him if I can enter later and he says yes. Hence, I complied and left, expecting to come back when they realize how sober I am. When I try ten minutes later, they aggressively warn me not to get in line again and refuse to give me a refund when I said they forced me to leave five minutes after taking my money. I’m am very upset because I wasn’t even given the opportunity to know if I would have enjoyed the bar or not and having paid because one of their bouncers INSISTED that I was drunk when I was not. When I tried to logically reason with them, they would not listen. I will not be visiting again and advise others to not visit because of this horrific experience. There are better clubs elsewhere with no cover charge.

This place is not for the faint of heart. We came here on a recommendation from our concierge for a place we could go to see the city on a Sunday night. It was definitely lit up with what I believe to be the main spot that everyone goes to on the last night of the weekend. As crowded as it was it was a great place to hang out and try to kick off our jet lag on our 2nd day here.

One of my favorite place in Sydney. Specially on sundays or/and tuesday night for the cheapest-but-succulent pizzas ever: 5 $. The place is cosy, a bit too chic and the sits are rare. Come early and do not forget your ID, no exception will be made at the door.

It has been on my radar for quite some time now, but I never had the time to visit until recently. It was everything I was expecting it to be– very stylish and chic, but at the same time comfortable and homey. The couches were really comfy, but it was pretty hard to get one as the place was crowded. I guess that’s the negative side of popularity, but never the less there were some really friendly and very interesting people that I met there. Additionally the drinks were cheap, but really good, so definitely worth a visit and I will be soon coming back with a couple of friends.

This has been my local for quite some time now. I visited this place a couple of months ago with some friends and since then we go there every weekend. I’m not a fan of bars offering food, but I must admit Hugo’s makes the most delicious pizza in the area, it’s even better the one at my local pizza place, but a bit pricey. The bartenders are all very good at their job so you won’t make a mistake by ordering something you haven’t tried before, but I really recommend the Honey Mint Mule. The place is and well decorated in a very modern and stylish way, so the atmosphere is nice and welcoming and the couches are really comfy if you can manage to find a free one. It can get a bit crowded, but the people there are all friendly and nice . Overall a great place to meet some new people and have a nice drink while enjoying the music.

I haven’t been there recently but i used to go there a lot with my girlfriend when we were living in Sydney. It was one of our favorite place to hang out and eat. I remember the king fish sashimi, pizza and steak were just great and also the endless round of Piña colada. It’s a bit pricy but worth the price.
