Shopped to my hearts content since items on sale were so much cheaper in AUD. Thanks to the strong USD. Friendly staff. What turned out out to be a quick stop to take a break from Sydney storm howling around had me walking out with bags of bargains. Tea was offered when you walk in but it was ice cold.

They have updated their styles and increased the prices. I am not really loving the changes myself. I went in here the other day and they no longer carry the yoga pants I like, so I won’t be shopping here any longer. If you are a super skinny twenty something with a lot of disposable income for yoga gear, this might still work for you.

This particular Lululemon store has a different vibe. I can’t say it’s one of my favorite locations. I can’t quite point out what’s different about it. They pretty much have the same items as the US stores. Store layout isn’t that different. I think it’s the sales agents. They’re not as inviting and super pleasant as the ones I’ve been to. But still, I love the brand. I just wasn’t inspired to spend money here. I ended up just getting a water bottle and socks.

My wife loves this place. It’s actually a moderately affordable but the clothing is totally useful. I heard that the name was chosen simply because it would be difficult for some Asian cultures to pronounce Lululemon. That leaves a bad taste in my mouth if it is true, but if it is not, then I would say that this is a pretty good store. The staff is helpful, the clothing is moderate to pricey, but you get what you pay for.

A great range of clothing. Great… meh boring. I love the free yoga classes held every Wednesday morning here at 7:15pm. I am with Janet Jackson here, the best things in life are for free. The yoga classes involve a flowing vinyasa. Expect to enjoy a series of downward dogs, rag dolls, brindges and forward folds. Yeeks… the high push ups when your not feeling your strongest. Yes this can be a challenge, yet you feel so fantastic afterwards. Really fantastic. No need to book, just rock up on any given Wednesday and be prepared to settle for an hour. Yoga mats are also provided. There are no changing facilities, so just ensure you are dressed before hand in appropriate gym clothes. No need to worry about your valuables, they are safe. The turn out is quite amazing, so get there as early as you can to get a good spot. No need to worry about the abundance of buses whizzing along George Street… or the ambulance sirens either. Sydney is a busy city. The early morning rises are oh so worth it for Yoga here.

This Vancouver-based active wear brand has taken over Sydney gyms in a big way! Everyone is wearing it. The fabrics are stretchy and breathable and perfect for yoga and the gym. Clothing comes in a multitude of different styles and colours for every taste. When wearing Lululemon you can guarantee that you will always look slick and polished, even after sweating it out in a heated power yoga class. But I guess that is kinda the reason why I’m not the biggest fan. Sure its ok for yoga, pilates, spin classes, on the treadmill, but I hate wearing it during dance classes and the occasional Zumba class. Because I’m not a slick and polished type of gal: p I like loose, off the shoulder tops when doing hip hop, long slouchy singlets when doing contemporary/ballet and I have a thing for harem pants lol. So yes I do shop here for my yoga clothes and the Y flow crop bra is awesome, but not my store of choice. Also I bought the thin yoga mat that is made for heated yoga so you don’t slip… I’ve used it twice and it sits idle at home because its too heavy and I slip anyway. The normal mat is better. But other than my personal taste, in general, Lululemon is great for the typical gym-junkie who wants to work out in style :)

It is impossible not to notice how sporty Sydney is. Lycra-clad glamour chicks strut their incredibly toned stuff down every Sydney street. So, as the old adage goes, ‘if you can’t beat them, join them’. And in this instance, Lululemon caters for all your lycra needs. Racks filled with sports bras, tops, leggings, shorts, pants, socks and headwear makes it oh so easy to transform yourself into sporty spice. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and willing to fetch different sizes, colours, or styles. However, the fun doesn’t stop there. Lululemon hosts running clubs and on a Wednesday and Sunday morning, free yoga classes. Despite the early start,(7.15am on Wednesday, 9.30am on Sunday) the classes are relaxing, informative and effective. A fully qualified yoga instructor takes the class, teaching breathing and stretching techniques. She ensures that all the yog-ees are performing the poses correctly and talks in such calm and hypnotic tones that the whole experience almost sent me to sleep. I left feeling thoroughly relaxed, stretched and healthy, and clad in some very cool new exercise gear.
