Like walking in to enemy territory. What is it with dog lovers and bad puns?
I was going past here with a friend recently, and we stopped to ponder who would buy creepy curled up fake animals in baskets when something caught the corner of my eye. I nearly screamed. The freaking thing moved! They ‘breathe’ apparently. So now they’re creepy curled up fake BREATHING animals in baskets. For $ 65. We had to go in and check it out.
It should be noted, we both have cats. While there’s the odd cat thing in here (and the odd ceramic dugong) it’s really all about the dogs. Dog picture frames, dog socks, dog collars, you name it. And a couple of fat mermaids in sunglasses and glitter clutching martini glasses. I don’t know.
The staff were friendly, although perhaps they could sniff out the enemy and could tell we felt surrounded. All those beady eyes… But hey, if you’ve a Pomeranian loving Nanna called Beryl in need of a Chrissie present, this is your place.
