I was on Holiday in Oz from Scotland and needed a cut. These guys gave me one of the best cuts I have ever had for $ 18. Highly recommended.

Awesome cut, and nice guys definitely recommend dropping in for a tidy up. Well worth it and also very reasonable price! Can’t beat that!

This place is hilarious. You won’t only get a cheap haircut but you’ll get a laugh as well. All three guys are friendly and extremely good at what they do. Just be descriptive and you’ll get what you want. And all for $ 15, you can’t ask for more. However, if you want a shampoo or any of that stuff, don’t come here. This is a straight up barber shop — no fills. But you’ll get a good haircut and for a good price.

STYLEPLUSBARBER What makes the average business executive walk three city blocks past a plethora of barber shops to find Style Plus Barber in the Hunter Connection during their lunch break? One word… Atmosphere! Like a breath of cool fresh air in the city smog, it is great to meet a staff team who still find the time and energy to have so much fun while they work. These are not staff who fill their hours in order to take an easy pay check. These are young men who are quick to show genuine care to their customers. Their attitude and responses indicative of an relationship with their employer that resembles family. Owner of Style Plus Barber, Zack has been nicknamed The King, which no doubt assists in the recognition he receives from clients in the area. The business started in 2011 and has been making a big impression on the Sydney corporate world simply by creating an atmosphere of the ‘old-school barber shop’. Few barbers take the time to properly shape haircuts these days with scissors and finish all the edges with a blade, but that’s what Style Plus Barber provides. To keep three chairs ‘customer filled’ between the hours of 8am and 7pm, Zack has practised a philosophy that makes customers actively seek out his little shop for more than a haircut. «Its all about the customer,» explains Zack. «We provide them with the efficiency they need which shows we care about their time and how they want their hair cut.» And as the business suits’ keep arriving throughout the day its clear that efficiency is not the only effect Style Plus Barber has upon the urban world. There’s an atmosphere about the place that’s shaped by Zack’s character and philosophies more than blade or scissor. Customers can ease themselves out of the steady ‘pc expectations’ of an office to enter Style Plus Barber’s world that is full of laughter and outlandish conversation. With opinions flying and Zack’s quick witted commentary, its entertainment that draws the clients in for their moment in the hot seat. The business is booming in a market that otherwise relies on slowly built customer loyalties. Style Plus Barber offers men’s cuts from as little as $ 13, beard shaving for $ 16 and a crew cut for just $ 10. And once they come in for the low price cuts — they’re hooked by the family atmosphere and the laughter. On a Friday typically Style Plus Barber staff would be found wearing their footy jerseys and teasing each other about who they support. These guys are young but they listen to what their customers want. They converse with them as friends, and most importantly they laugh with them and get to know them. It may not be a groundbreaking discovery that ‘good customer service’ wins out over any other advertising strategy, but for someone as young and enterprising as Zack to have grasped and implemented so soundly and seamlessly in a barber shop off Hunter street is refreshing. There’s great talent and opportunity for business development here, and recommending a haircut at Style Plus Barber is something clients will continue to do while Zack remains The King at Hunter Connection. Style Plus is awesome. I can’t comment too much on their skills as barbers, not because I’ve ever gotten a bad cut from them, but because I basically get the same haircut every time. What makes it so great is the atmosphere. The three guys are basically shooting the breeze all day, and are constantly cracking on each other. They’re the type that recognize you every time you come in, and you just pickup the conversation from the last cut. Oh yeah, and they’re the cheapest cut I’ve seen in Sydney.
