Sitting alongside a beautiful garden shop is the elegant Topiary tearooms. On the very fringes of the hills, we are seated in a courtyard of sandstone and hedging.
Almost every table is taken inside and out, This restaurant I’m told is always as busy as this.
Topiary has a wonderfully zany breakfast menu, full of amazingly enticing foods like Beetroot Hollandaise, chilli scrambled eggs, choc honey comb pancakes!
Speaking of Chili Scrambled Eggs they are served with garlic toast, bacon, fried tomatoes, sausage and Aoli and its full of flavour!
So moorish this meal is, one could be forgiven for finding it too flavoursome. Lucky for topiary I love the crazy amounts of different flavours piled onto one plate I taste something different in every bite!
The coffee is NOT fantastic, my latte was made well, unfortunately Rio Coffee beans are cheap and horrible and I don’t like them.
Overall a wonderful experience… — the coffee beans haha

I have had breakfast here on a number of occassions — best in Adelaide. Everything on the menu is cooked with love. The flavors in the food are unique, fresh and amazing on the taste buds. Plus you always leave full! Very friendly staff. Cute and quaint surroundings inside and out. Good value. .money well spent.

Lovely setting, efficient service, friendly staff and the Gardeners breakfast was delicious! The Beetroot hollandaise was a perfect sauce to everything on the plate! Eggs were perfectly cooked too! I will be back again to enjoy it all again!

Everything here is just lovely and tates really good. Service is always fantastic, coffee is outstanding and there are beautiful fresh things in the menu. Come during the day and wander around the nursery at the bottom of the foothills for total bliss.

OMG I have been here multiple times and regrettably never written a review honestly this place is amazing your taste buds will never be the same again it has to be the best food Ive found in Adelaide and I just dont go here enough incredible food the best service I have ever experienced to date and counting never had a bad experience and the food is priced fantastically I could sit here all day and write an essay long review of how amazing this restaurant/​café is but instead ill just tell you to go there you wont regret it! And if you experience that gobsmacked amazement on your first bite dont worry we did too so good. Coffee, afternoon tea lunch or dinner. YUM!

Did afternoon tea (not the high tea) with a girlfriend, mid winter. I ordered duck rillette & she ordered banana bread with marscapone & lemon curd on the side. Both offerings were gorgeous, home made goodness. Was a busy Saturday afternoon crowd, but service was fine. Cosy, quaint setting, amidst lovely gardens which would be even lovelier in better weather. Perfect food. Charming location, summer or winter. 5 stars from me.

This is a hard one. Made the mistake of finding it, we did. Look, you have to go there, sorry. Ah, better mention the breakfasts, there I did .But there’s more. Trust me, just do it ! easy to find, hard to leave… and if you lust for a real High Tea, well do yourself a favor and visit. If any place was to have the X factor, then this is it ! licensed.
