This place has been around forever. Was the first place I ever got a decent coffee milkshake with an espresso shot. I do like this venue a lot and the décor. Main eating areas inside and out, along with some quirky spots. I imagine the evening ambience to be quite nice. I have eaten here much as it tends to be on the dearer side but I’ve liked what’s been presented. The staff all seem fairly young, possibly uni kids who engage each other more than worrying about patrons. But they are nice non the less. The outside area is great for those who want a little something and have your dogs with you.

The service is rude and unaccommodating: expect to wait an hour for breakfast meals to be served and no changes are allowed to be made to meals(even to have tomato fresh instead of grilled). The food and coffee is nice but expensive — most breakfast dishes are circa $ 20. The boho themed interior is comfortable and pleasant but overall a disappointing experience.

Talulah is the perfect night eating out in newcastle, with prompt and accomodating service they offer a scumptious array of tappas and mains. Their wine selection is great and the desserts are great. Having visited mulptiple times they show a longevity and consistency that has ben evident over the last few years. Highly reccomend the Gnocci and Crème brûlée‘. This venue is accessible.

A nice mix of indoor/outdoor, Talulah has an interesting café layout. I say café and not restaurant because I’m yet to have a dinner there. But boy do they make good breakfasts! Their ricotta pancakes are the best in town! Not too cheesy, more creamy and rich. Their specials are also usually really good. And they have a breakfast juice which they make. It’s full of citrus and has a great tang. Yum! The only reason I haven’t given full marks is that their coffee is hit and miss. It’s worth taking a risk though!

Talulah used to be my favourite café at The Junction, but after my terrible meal there today I won’t be returning for a while. They brought out the incorrect order to our table not once, but twice, then I tasted the worst(over salted and cold) eggs of my life. I couldn’t eat most of my breakfast it was that disgusting. The staff made no attempt to apologise or offer any consolation which made the whole dining experience one to forget.

Great coffee and deserts to die for last night. Watched my friends devour their mains with gusto. I actually stole little tastes and was impressed. A bit dear but once you tasted you forgot the price.
