Great food and a nice beer selection overall. The elvis burger was a lot bigger than I thought it would be but really good. The only thing that sucked was the lack of seating. Let me take that back, there was a lot of seating but it was all reserved for other people. We showed up at 5:30 and there were a good 7 or 8 tables with little chock boards that had names and times on them. Worth the food, but not the venue.

I really enjoyed my time here !! … It’s smallish, cosy … and full of character. The beer & Cider list long with craft beers a standout. I also had lunch which proved to be a surprise … the quality, presentation, promptness and taste very high for what appears a hectic little business. I’m coming back and this time staying longer … I will find a tight & cosy little spot … park it … and then work my way through that beer list … watching the world go by … and drifting back in time … feel like I’m there already …

Sort your tv’s out. Please. Every time, it’s unbearable. Beer pretty good though. Tough walk up the hill also. But I keep turning up

Great pub, amazing pub. Admittedly it’s my local so I’m biased but Hart’s always has great service, great beer, decent house wines, and The Memphis Burger which had to be one of the best burgers in Sydney.

Awesome pub with delicious beers. Barman was very Knowledgeable. I recommend the tasting flights, good value and great way to try different beers without falling off your chair!

A public house In the Rocks! Although I had only one beer here, which was the Rock’s Brewery Convict Lager, I was able to walk in, ask a question, and get a beer within a minute. Stills haven’t figured out the whole Schooner thing so I still order 500 mL. The Convict Lager and the Rock’s Kolsch is better than any of the Microbrews I have near my place in Torrance.

This is one of those must visit pubs in the Rocks. Okay, it may not be on the main strip, but it is still worth checking out, if only for their large collection of house brewed beers. They do have a pretty decent selection, which can be a little mystifying at times, but at least the staff are more than happy to give you a recommendation, or if not that, at least a couple of samples to try before you buy(though do remember to wash it down with water). The prices may not be the cheapest, and it does get really crowded on a Friday afternoon(though that seems to the the standard here in Sydney, especially with the good pubs) but it is certainly a place worth checking out. Oh, and the upstairs bar(which I discovered is a lot less packed) has a heap of beer bottles on the back wall with candles sticking out of them. Apparently at night they are lit.

A diverse range of beers sourced locally that changes often, the hand pumped ales when available are a must try. Nothing mass produced here. after a few(and you will have a few) the jalapeño poppers are the go to beer snack.

I really like this place. Very able bartenders and servers, great happy hour offering and just a very good space for me. It was like finding a hidden treasure in center city that i’d just never thought to try before. I’ll definitely be back good draft selection & service makes it a go to place!

Excellent sampling of local craft beer(Rocks Brewing) with a few American choices thrown in for good measure. Good food, excellent happy hour, and a lively crowd make Hart’s a winner every evening.

My favourite place to go chill and enjoy a pint of local and American craft beers. Relaxed easy going atmosphere, great to go and chat with good company. Try the Harts Poppers if you’re game… Those jalapeños burn! But are so good with beer!

Lovely venue, an old house converted into a bar. Located between the CBD and the famous Rocks area of Sydney. Food is very good, as are the beers(most of which they brew themselves, thumbs up!). Loses one point for being a tad pricey… and yes, I know it’s Sydney but $ 9.50 for a pint($ 7.50 for a schooner) ain’t great value.

Throughout this year I have regularly been at this pub, though it is usually for a 1 – 2 pint pit-stop than a full blown Sunday sesh. This is also the reason that I haven’t eaten here this year, because I literally have my 2 drinks and continue on my merry little way to the next pub down the line. What I find great about this pub is the quirky«old English style» tea rooms, which offer small groups some privacy whilst not cutting them off totally from the rest of the pub atmosphere. I’m pretty sure I spied some board games in one of the rooms too, which could be interesting after downing a couple of ales. Naturally being a brew pub the beers are top notch. I usually plump for a pint of the Hangman’s Pale Ale and I’m never disappointed. It always goes down a treat. The staff are friendly and the service is pretty fast though it can be a little neglected by patrons because some people just don’t know the place exists. It’s not exactly on the main drag. It also should be noted that weekend arvos are a far more relaxed affair than Friday suits after work. There is an outdoor section upstairs to enjoy the sunshine and/or for smokers.

Without a doubt, the best wings I’ve had in Sydney. For what it’s worth, I’m a Canadian who imports Frank’s Hot Sauce as I’m of the opinion that hot wings should not taste like ketchup. Unfortunately they’ve recently changed their menu and eliminated the Friendship Burger, and whomever is cooking now has changed the spices in the burger. «It tastes like a taco» is the feedback I heard. They had a fantastic thing going, and in this case, change is bad.

This place has a great atmosphere with some real history. The beers are a huge hit and everything I’ve eaten there has been really good — I really want to try the pie and the cookie dessert! Next time! The Harts Pub app is also good… You gotta love getting rewarded for drinking beers!

This place is a converted house! Great evening atmosphere. Game is on in most rooms. Beer is expensive but food looks good. I’m thinking this might be my new evening hangout. We’ve gone here quite a few times now. Unfortunately there is just not enough room. The food is definitely pretty good, and the beer is always plentiful. For a meal and drinks for two expect about $ 70. Unfortunately I have stopped trying to go here just because you can never get a seat. That doesn’t mean that it is so good that you have to go out of your way to get here, honestly there’s only about 30 seats in the entire place despite having about six rooms. There is an upstairs bar and a downstairs bar, the downstairs bar only serves drinks and the upstairs bar serves drinks and food. They have simplified their menu recently much to my chagrin. They no longer make the burgers«to order», you have to order the burger as is. That means you’re paying $ 25 for a burger that you cannot tell them whether or not you want it, as medium rare or well-done nor can you change the toppings. Disappointing. I was hoping this would be my normal place but after going there about 10 times and being disappointed about five times I’ve stopped heading there at all.

Great pub. It’s mostly about the beer here. They bring in craft brews from all over Australia; some nearby and some farther afield. Most are available in half-pint, schooner, and pint sizes, giving you lots of drinking portion choice. At any time there will be 8 to 10 beers and ciders that you’ll rarely find on tap elsewhere. Nice. It’s got a couple of levels with a choice of seating areas: high stools and tables, or lower tables and benches, all in light wood, with a couple of TVs hanging above. There’s a more cozy private-ish room with big easy chairs. Upstairs is more dining-like(though you can eat anywhere). And there’s outdoor seating up top too, in a sort of courtyard between buildings. The food that I’ve had has always been great, and I’ve had a top steak here. There are plenty of events on: trivia on Tuesdays, and there’s always a sign for some beer tasting event of some sort.

I’ve come here a few times on various occasions. I like it hear because they always play NBA games. They also do «4th of July» specials and have some nice beers/ciders. On the 4th of July, they had chili cheese fries for 8 bucks, which were yummy but a little small. They also had chili dogs and chicken wings. Came here for lunch with my coworkers. We got Onion rings and«Croc strips» for the table to share. Crocodile wasn’t as bad as I thought, tasted like a cross between chicken and calamari. Guess anything breaded and deep fried will taste good. The onion rings were also tasty. Three of us girls ordered the haloumi burger — pesto, cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes. Everyone else ordered burgers and chicken sandwiches and one person got a beef pie. The haloumi was unfortunately cold and not the burger wasn’t very tasty. The fries were cooked nicely though. Overall a cool pub, just ordered the wrong thing. The menu is basically pub food, mostly burgers, sandwiches, fried foods and some dessert. Good for beer, maybe a bit average for food.
