Service was terrible and not friendly at all, and most importantly, the massage specialist was horrible and didn’t take out ANY knots at all. I asked for her to press harder, but she did nothing differently. I also just got the neck and back, but they started doing my legs, which I was REALLYCONFUSED about. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend this place.

Knots be gone. Stress be gone. Relaxation sets in. That is the feeling I get everytime I go here. The massage you get is targetted to what you want it to be(in my case my neck, shoulders and back) and the strength is to your liking as well. Don’t be fooled. The little chinese man is surprisingly strong, the same can be said for the little massage woman too. My only complaint is that the store… is tiny! I had to tiptoe around 3 people in a tiny space to sit down on my massage chair. But once I sat down and closed my eyes… it was good. And it was better. I almost dozed off(kid you not). Highly recommended… they also do health care rebates. An all around great massage.

This is the most hassle-free and affordable place I’ve found for a massage. Also, its location in a busy shopping centre and transparent glass windows asssuage any misgivings you might have about other dodgier Asian ‘massage parlours’. I’ve never had to wait any significant amount of time here. You simply walk in, put your personal effects in a container that sits below your massage table(good security) and let the skilled practitioners go to work. I usually opt for the ‘Neck, Back and Shoulders($ 35), which usually lasts a touch over 30 minutes. Regardless of whether you get a male or female, young or old masseuse I have always found them to be strong and thorough. It’s the perfect indulgence after you’ve gone too hard on the exercise.

This massage parlour in Toowong shopping centre may not look like much but they do amazing massages. I’ve been in several times for a half hour back massage and every time left feeling relaxed and relieved from pain and tension. They’re inexpensive at only around $ 30 for a half hour massage and you can usually just walk in though sometimes you may need to wait 10 – 15 minutes. There’s no need to take off any clothes, which gets a big thumbs from for me as I always feel so awkward lying half naked on a table! Great massages for a great price whenever you want one, what more could you as for?

If you have never experienced a tunia Chinese massage, you’re missing out. But be prepared to be poked and prodded. Traditionally tunia massage consists of acupressure and massage techniques that aim to directly influence the flow of Qi(or Chi, your life source) and treats the whole body, mind and spirit, while allowing the body to heal itself naturally. Blocked Qi = sluggish body. This is all theoretical of course as no one can prove that your Qi actually exists, but I do feel a whole lot better(albeit a little bruised) after one of these massages. There is no skin contact in this massage as the therapists place a sheet between their limber fingers and your clothing. So no undressing either, yay! Prices range from $ 20 and up, and you can choose between areas you would like to get treated: head and shoulders, full back, scalp, reflexology… the list goes on. The treatment times for each area varies as well, from an express 15 minute neck and shoulder to a full hour of unparalleled bliss and poking. And unblocked Qi of course. The staff here are friendly and leave you to get your bliss on, only to be interrupted once with a gentle, ‘is the pressure okay?‘ For the price and the treatments I really rate this place highly. I feel great after one of their massages and like the unintrusive nature of the technique. However if you don’t like the idea of being massaged in a fishbowl(it’s a glass shop front), you may want to skip this. But I say toughen up buttercup, because it’s well worth it.
