I usually like to explore further than the place I’m staying when looking for food in a new town, plus the most appealing thing on the menu within my budget was a margarita pizza which I’d had the night before… so I wandered… literally 30m’s in the icy night air and saw an average looking burger place or standard parma & chips pub grub and realised that not only did the olive garden look appealing but it was warm and right there!
I had a look at the restaurant menu which looked great but a bit pretty for my pocket. So grabbed my margarita & a glass of red at the bar. Holy shit that was a great margarita: fresh, they used fresh chilli (I always ask for chilli), cherry tomatoes and perfect size & thin crust. I want another one for breakfast.
There’s not a lot of seating here, pizza took about half an hour and wine was verging on corked but the staff & food made up for it. And they were setting up some live music when I left. Nice bar alternative to the sausage fest pub down the road!

The Olive Branch would have to be the best dining experience in Toowoomba. The food is superb, fresh and delicious. The service is 5 star and all staff were very friendly and prompt. The menu while not extensive has something for everyone and features local produce. Whether dining or catching up with friends for a cocktail the Olive Branch is outstanding. A class above the rest.
