I am not normally a fan of Axil coffee, but these guys seem to be able to pull it off and make it work. The food is good; we stopped by for breakfast. While the kids fried eggs were a little overdone, the poached ones my wife and I had were spot on. The pour-over coffee I had was also great. One thing that has already been said by other reviewers though is the toilets; be warned. :/

Hot cakes — way too sweet. Cauliflower fritters — very small portion and tasted like potato, not cauliflower. Eggs on toast with add-ons was a very small portion. The menu sounded really enticing, but did not live up to its potential. Surfcoast whole foods near Coles was much better. Also, they do not have their own bathroom. The one that they send you to down the street did not have any soap two days in a row!) I hope this is not the toilet that they use.

Nic, thank you for opening such a beautiful space. Finally some delicious & amazing coffee this side of Geelong! This is a place worth traveling for. Delicious foodage specializing on using local producers. Coffee by Axil. Tea by Somage. Lots of yummy wraps, sandwiches & cakes ready to go, idea for you after morning surf. Not that I know as I don’t surf. But I can imagine surfing makes you hungry. Outdoor seating so you can bring your furry mate. Love it. x
