The worst customer service I have EVER receieved in my entire life. Went to the Palms with friends on a Friday night and we bought cocktails. And not one or two, I mean we had two each and there was about 10 of us. We spent a decent amount of money(too much if you ask me very overpriced for what it was) We wanted to try it here because it looks really amazing, and very relaxed. We sat down and were drinking our cocktails. On this night there was no music, so we played music on our phone and just chilled. Next minute, the manager of the bar came over to us and said«are you playing music on your phones?» we replied with yes to which he rolled his eyes looked at us and«well can you not». We were shocked as he just walked away after this and didn’t say a word. We left without finishing our overpriced cocktails and relocated to the Beach House where we get treated like human beings. I was pretty disgusted with this place, but thought hey, everyone deserves a second chance, so a friend of mine and I went at about 11am to see if they did breakfast and coffee. The same guy«served» us looked at us up and down, laughed and said no. Turns out they do serve breakfast and coffee. Never. Ever. Again. Worst place ever and it is a HUGE shame that such a nice outdoor venue has such a horrible attitude. Looking forward to seeing it replaced so we can relax next to the new décor at Garden City.

I’ve been wanting to give this one a try ever since it opened and over the weekend I finally got that chance. The menu has a pretty good variety of your usual small plates, burgers, pastas and salads. They also have a lunch specials menu which tops out at about $ 15 which is a good budget meal option. I ordered a rigatoni dish and my dining companion ordered the burger off the lunch specials menu. While the burger looked good and by all reports was delicious, the pasta wasn’t so great. The rigatoni dish was a large portion but the sauce was watery, the pasta overcooked and the pork they listed as coming with the dish was a small handful of pork mince that barely made a difference. The best part of the dish was the sprinkling of cheese on top. Had I had paid only $ 15 for the dish, that would be on thing. I actually paid $ 23.50 for it and that left me kind of annoyed. When I pay $ 30 for a meal and best part is the ginger beer, you’re getting 2 stars.
