The General Trader

This place is great, especially for things like knifes, and knife sets. It always seems to be a good bit cheaper than similar kitchenware type stores.
It not only has everything you’d expect in such a store, but it also has a good variety of gadgets that you never would have thought of. Things like tiny 5 cm graters, drink whisks, and funky measuring sets to name a few.
The staff are pretty helpful if you are looking for something in particular.

If you hadn’t seen the shop itself, the name is quite vague. It’s a kitchen supplies shop. And it’s really quite nifty.
Now, I’m a particularly impatient shopper. I hate being dragged around the shops while my wife browses. Seriously, I effing hate shopping without a point. It drives me crazy.
But this place, I can always find something that I reckon is kinda cool. Whether or not it’s a particularly clever bottle opener or some sort of knife, or whatever it is that I haven’t seen before, I’m sucked in and want to play with it. It’s almost like a cool kitchen inventions store.
Service is pretty typical retail homewares store, and I’ve got no complaints. Worth a look if you’re shopping for the next Masterchef winner’s birthday.
