MrT Vietnamese Restaurant

Great Vietnamese local restaurant. Close enough to have dinner before you go to Fox entertainment quarter. We had an entire meal of entrees and everything was delicious. Worth costing if you’re in the area.

Amazing authentic Vietnamese food with a modern twist. This place is a great local gem, they do all the dishes you would find at Bankstown and Cabramatta but tweak it a slight bit to make it even better. The pepper beef and tomato rice is really tasty. They also do great specials on the board everyday. Friendly service and well priced.

Mr T creates delicious and aromatic Vietnamese dishes. Accompanied by friendly and attentive staff this restaurant is relaxed, casual dining. The styling is simple but still on trend with wooden boards on the wall and the ever popular pendant lights hanging from the ceiling.
Mr T is the latest Vietnamese restaurant to open up in Waterloo and is distinctively Vietnamese. Tonight, its midweek and the restaurant is full of people. People sitting down, ordering, eating and leaving. Then the next group arriving, sitting down, ordering, eating and leaving. It’s not a huge restaurant but perfect for small groups or singles who wish to drop in for lunch or dinner. There is seating available inside and outside. Mr T offers take away but I can’t confirm if they also deliver.
When I think of Vietnamese food, I think fresh, fragrant and light food. Mr T’s food was all that and simply delicious. We went for the spring roll special of crab and prawn for entrée, then the six hour beef brisket and honey tofu with veggies. A side of steamed rice was a welcome accompaniment to our mains and we each ordered a Crown lager. No Vietnamese beer on the menu but they do offer BYO for $ 2.50 corkage if you really want to bring your own and have a more authentic experience. Although I’m sure they have Crown lager in Vietnam?
The waiter was attentive, the food came out promptly, the menu was reasonably priced and the food was yummy. What more can you ask for?!
I often judge a place on whether or not I will come back for a second visit. We are already planning our next meal at Mr T’s. Looks like we’ve found ourselves a new local favourite. Winning!
