Hubby & I checked into The Richardson Hotel & Spa for an Exclusive Winter Package for my birthday celebration. The Exclusive Winter Package includes: Accommodation in a Deluxe One Bedroom Suite Glass of Leeuwin Estate Wine and Artisan Cheese selection on arrival Three Course Dinner in Opus Restaurant Full Richardson Breakfast in The Conservatory 15% discount off ESPA Treatments at The Spa We didn’t get to make use of the spa facility but we sure did with everything else! The Richardson Hotel & Spa is in West Perth, close to the West End business district and Kings Park. Depending on which room you get, you can either have a view of the bushland or a glimpse of the WACA stadium. We got allocated to room 701, a spacious Deluxe Room with a king size bed, lounge and large balcony overlooking the suburban housing and the WACA. Our room was clean and comfortable, the layout and interior décor look and feel very homey to me, almost like a home-away-from-home ツ On arrival we also received our glasses of Leeuwin Estate Wine and Artisan Cheese selection which were part of the winter package and they were simply divine!!! I am usually not a red wine fan but this glass of Leeuwin Estate Wine was just perfect to go with the selection of cheeses on the platter — So let’s cheers to a week long of(birthday) celebration to me Overall a thumb up for the excellent service provided by the hotel staff and concierge. They were friendly, helpful and eager to please. For that level of attention to detail, something which I would have expected to received in Asia and/or other part of the world instead of Perth. I highly recommended The Richardson Hotel & Spa for any visitors planning to come and visit Perth any time soon. The price may be on a higher scale for some people’s budget but as they say, you get what you pay for and that is so true in my experience ツ

The best hotel in Perth which doesn’t say much as Perth has worst hotels in Australia. It used to be run as the best hotel but now an accountant has obviously taken over and the restaurant staff and chef(eggs on top of toast making it soggy, a road house cook knows not to do that, boiling hot watery flat white etc) are on a few dollars an hour less I would say(at least at breakfast). The whole place has been costed down to a 3 ½ star level staff wise, they are all lovely but the room prices haven’t gone down. The valet parking is gone but they still charge the full daily valet fee,(and you can’t fit your car in parks so you have to crawl out of opposite door lucky I’m skinny, not the sort of thing you do at a 5 star hotel) the knowledgable highly trained top end staff are all gone(most were still as good as most other places), after 6pm a casual runs the place. Still, Billy Connolly sat next to us!

The staff here is pretty nice so I cannot complain. The room service menu is terrible and the food was unsatisfying. I ordered boneless chicken which the staff called«sophisticated» wings and they were horrible. The hotel beds were hard but the pool site was pretty decent.
