Not sure why this café is not getting enough love on Unilocal!This café has been around for over a decade but the current owner has been on the helms the last 18mths.
It’s such a pleasant place to have lunch or coffee. Lovely, slightly rustic & non-​pretentious interior, with a few tables on the sidewalk. They pride themselves in using local Adelaide Hills produce and have wraps, baguettes sandwiches, salads, burgers. Even local wine! Kids are also catered for (but they won’t make a kid’s sized milkshake). I also think it’s very well priced for the quality.
Coffee itself is ok. I would prefer a stronger flavor. Served a wee bit too hot and no fancy barista art foam (not that I care about that sort of thing!).
I’d recommended giving this place a try if you are in the hills and want to support places that use local produce.

A busy café in the middle of the main street at Woodside. Greeted by friendly staff behind counter on arrival. I ordered lamb salad which i was looking forward to on this beautiful sunny day, but was a little let down with chewy meat that was heavily over seasoned that left a gritty herb flavour. My other guests ordered gourmet and tradtional pizza which they enjoyed.

A regular during the vintage period for me, great coffee, friendly staff, quick service and great light meals, personal faves are corn and potato fritters for breakky and the lamb salad or burger for lunch. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit!

Every county-​ish town seems to have a ‘Providore’ and woodside is no exception. The Snappy wood and red directors chairs and contemporary signage indicate this venue as a little urbane.
The wine list is local, the produce is fresh and can be innovative and exciting in my experience, although I have friends who describe the joint as ‘hit and miss’. I think you may have to decide for yourself on this one. Could venue for a big brekky — or a lunch stop on your hillsy day out. Woodside has so much more to offer than you may realise.
