The Fig Restaurant has a relaxed ambience and a welcoming layout. Centrally positioned within the Waterloo Bay hotel the Fig has both indoor and verandah seating and looks out on the famous beergarden and the restaurants’ giant fig tree namesake. The menu is way better and pricier than the bar food nearby and while there are some yummy burgers for around $ 15 on the lunch menu, the dinner menu is a bit fancy, with some very nice elements. We enjoyed a haloumi salad, house spiced strip loin, pumpkin gnocchi and pork fillet. The salads and pastas cost around $ 15, the mains range from $ 20 up, to $ 35 for eye fillet with seafood toppers. Next time for that one.
