Watered down taiwanese milk tea! Stingy on portion of bubbles! Yes I have bought from here a few times hoping each time is better but with no luck! Have also tried their red velvet cake and carrot cake but it is extremely dry :(the oreo cheesecake was average I am making this review not based on a one time visit but quite a few times(I forget to check in sometimes but I have bank statements to prove I have bought more than 10 bubble teas here, probably more as sometimes I pay cash) as after moving to Antwerp this was the only bubble tea place I knew about so if I wanted bubble tea I came here as I had no choice even though it is not as good as I remember them in HK I would have to settle if I was really craving it. I have learned since that there are other choices around :) I don’t why they keep taking down my reviews saying that it isn’t first hand experience! I have even accumulated one of their coupon cards last week when I was there and got my free cup of bubble tea already so why is my review not first hand experience? I guess they just don’t like what I am saying in my reviews even though it is the truth. Why not just take the criticism and make the drinks better so that we can all have better bubble tea? There should always be room for improvement instead if reporting a bad review. Besides I am not the only one who thinks this as I have seen another fellow Asian who shares my view on the watered down bubble tea :) —– reply to their msg I originally gave this place a 2 – 3 star based on their bubble teas and cakes but I have since put it down to 1 star because of how my multiple reviews being taken down and the reason I was given was that my review was not first hand experience and that made me unhappy considering I have bought a lot from this place. Yes my first review I added which store I thought was better but have changed it right away after being told it was not allowed as I did not know that it was not allowed. I am being accused of working together with another store when I have never even spoken to anyone at this other store they mention. Accused of not being a real customer when I have spent quite a lot of money there(every time I go there I spend at least 40 – 50 euros because I buy multiple drinks and cakes to take home for me and my family). Accused of copying someone else’s review… can I not have agreed and come to the same conclusion myself after trying the drink a few times? This is ridiculous as I should be able to leave my opinion/review without feeling pressured or attacked or feeling bad as a customer. I have no disgust for your store as you so put it! I still spend money there as I mentioned I was even there just last week! I did not know that expressing my thoughts would lead to this and I will now make sure to stay away from you as this is just scary! After reading that persons review who said your tea tasted watered down I purposely came to buy one again to see if she was indeed correct as I haven’t bought from you for over a month since last week and after living here for quite some time my tastebuds have started to forget what good chinese food/drinks should be like because I have adapted to what it tastes like here! I tried it, and if you say you have since adjusted your recipe then it is more disappointing because the tea taste still was not strong enough(or maybe your staff did not follow your new recipe?) whatever it is I do not know. again I am just reviewing based on my experience and because I finally got to compare yours to other places I found available. So I did not copy the other review but I do agree with her. I did not know that there is a rule on Unilocal where if one said it then I cannot repeat the same feelings. I will not edit or reply to anymore of this. I will stay away. my review was just a review and just my opinion and experience and not to attack you or your store personally which is what is coming out to be with your reply. Pls stop now :(

I probably shouldn’t have had too high hopes for boba in Belgium but I was really excited. I got the Taiwanese classic milk tea with tapioca(with free Unilocal size upgrade — 3.5 euros) which tasted very watered down and overly sweet. I come from LA /Taiwan so have had lots of authentic bubble/boba/tapioca milk tea but this left a lot to be desired. The boba also was a bit bland and usually the shops I go to steep it in warm black sugar syrup or honey. I’m sad. HOWEVER, the owner(?) was really nice and told me there was free wifi, so he’s a sweetheart!

This place is amazing. The boba is great, of course. But the experience in 8tea5 is the best. It’s cutely decorated and has a wall full of pictures of happy customers. Love the service. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Ling, the store owner is really cool. He’s always recommending things to check out and places to go in Belgium and neighboring countries. If you ever feel like you’re missing home, I recommend stopping by and hanging out with Ling.
