Cute little wine bar in the Zuid — wish I could give it 4.5 stars. We had a few glasses of wine at the bar and enjoyed the aromas of what appeared to be tasty food in this romantic, cozy little spot. We had heard it was a famous chef, so we thought it might be pricey and pretentious, but it was absolutely down to earth in attitude, in spite of high standards for food and beverage. And the prices were very affordable! Staff was friendly, wine selection was fantastic, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The design and décor is cool — lots of brass, copper and leather. They clearly pay attention to the details and there is a lot of heart in this place.
The one very random thing we noticed (and I probably shouldn’t comment on, for fear of sounding totally nuts) and thought was strange was that the tiles on the walls seemed totally out of place with the rest of the décor. I wouldn’t normally mention this, but this place was so cute and we just couldn’t figure out why these blue/​grey wall tiles were in this dark, cozy, romantic wine bar.
Overall a fantastic find, perfect spot for a date, and we would return to try the food.

Ok, we went overboard… And so should you. The owner is famous for judging tv show restaurants and it shows that the skills she presented on television hold in practice. The menu changes every now and then according to her latest experiences which will also favor you! We had all the starters and all of the meat, 2 wines which we let the hostess choose (who also is a professional sommelier). This resto is now open for a couple of months but soon will be hard to get a table! An absolute must!
