Felix Pakhuis

Took the Felix Boretti Burger (18 euro).
Was nice but still a little too red on the inside.
Got some special patatoes but not so many.
It was okay but nothing special.
So for that price you can easilly find some better burgers in town.

My husband and a couple of our friends and I chose this place because of the great reviews. This place fell flat, actually further than flat; it created a hole of despair which ended at the bottom of a terrible night.
The service was friendly enough, so there is that, but people go to restaurants for the food not the service.
The appetizers were decent, but the main courses were too tough to swallow, literally.
Our one friend ordered the steak and almost choked on it due to his expectation of it being tender. It was far from tender, and almost wouldn’t go down. We all were actually worried, but after several attempts, he finally was able to swallow. He was able to cough a bit, that is why no one attempted the Heimlich maneuver, but my husband was about to.
I ordered my burger medium rare, but it was over done, inedible and tough. They somehow even managed to screw up the fries.
My husband and the other friend also did not like their food. They were barely able to make a dent in their meal, and only tried to continue because they were hungry.

When the server came to check in, we didn’t exactly tell him the food was terrible, we didn’t want to be viewed as rude Americans. But our faces and tone couldn’t be hidden. We were beyond disappointed, and couldn’t believe a place packed with locals and great reviews could possibly be that terrible.
When it came time to pay, their credit card machine had broken down, so my husband and the male friend walked 5 minutes to an ATM, which had a pile of dog, maybe even human, excrement in the lobby. This of course, was not the restaurant’s fault, but the inconvenience of having to walk to an ATM in order to pay for an overpriced and disgusting meal, just added to the bad night that it turned into. They also forgot to take off a bar food item our friend had purchased while we were all waiting for a table. They had told him they would bring the food over to our table, but never did. It was later that they told us the chef had made the food, and expected our friend to get it. After a great deal of explaining, they finally took off the menu item he never received.
I would give ½ of a star if I could, and only for the nice waiters and that they brought out blankets when it started to get chilly (we sat at the outside patio of the restaurant).

Sometimes you need to touch base with the crowd that wishes it were rich but isn’t and instead pretends to be.
Felix Pakhuis is one of those places where you can spot them.
So, if you like to overspend on mediocre food and be looked down upon by pretentious waiters, then Felix Pakhuis is for you.

Great Place to brunch on Sunday –Eastersundaybrunch was awesome.
Please book in advance of you want to have a place for sure.
Otherwise you can speculate to get an arm chair in the salon.

Great ambiance; Live music, impeccable décor, mouthwatering food and excellent drink selections! Even the location is gorgeous.
I highly recommend the Felix burger.

Preislich ist das Felix Pakhuis zwar etwas teurer, aber ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.
In einem alten Packhaus, stylisch eingerichtet, bekommt man lecker, pfiffige Gerichte serviert.
Anrichteweise und Interpretation beispielsweise von Fish & Chips war sehr modern und echt lecker!

I have been here twice. The food has been consistently good (well, two times worth) and the service was great.
I am in love with their location and their space is large and spacious yet inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to dining here again.

Had a lunch here, very nice restaurant, good food and good service.
Heard their brunches are also amazing, though haven’t tried yet.
