Had Sushi delivered(black box), the sushi it self was very good with exciting new flavors and combinations, even the presentation was original. It is rather pricey, so its not our every week take out.

Original sushi, esthetically pleasant to the eye, pure and fresh taste. Makes me want to come back to try more.

Food is ok but really really bad service ! Will never go there again. The store manager should find him a another job, maybe not in service!

If you think of Sushi Shop more like an excellent option for take out sushi that you can eat in if you want rather than a high end sushi restaurant, you will be just fine. It is clear from their display and their marketing that they cater to take out and delivery. With this being said, the restaurant itself is very attractive and inviting. While in Antwerp on vacation, I got take out from here twice and was overwhelmed with the options available — the menu is like 20 pages. The fish was all very fresh, even the rolls or pieces I got out of the refrigerator section that were pre-packaged. The good thing here is that it seems that they only keep one of each sushi combo in the fridge so that when someone takes it, they make another one fresh. The sushi was high quality and inventive and the ease of getting in and out of here with a full meal is unrivaled. You can even order delivery online, it can’t be any easier. It’s fairly expensive, but I wasn’t disappointed with anything I got other than a few of the side salads which were just average. If you go to Sushi Shop for quick, good sushi you will like it. If you are expecting a sushi house and not an efficiency infused, non-traditional slant on sushi you might be disappointed.

Ate here on a recent Saturday. The place was empty and easy to get a seat. Perhaps it was too early in the evening(about 7:30pm), but when I ordered a mixed plate from the menue, they actually served me something that was pre-made. You know what sushi tastes like after it spends some time in the fridge? Very disappointing for a place that claims to make all their sushi fresh… perhaps they have a different understanding of what fresh is. They did re-make my plate when I asked them to, which what nice, but a couple of the pieces still tasted very ‘off’, and the slices of fish on the tuna/salmon maki were paper thin. However their menue did have a number of interesting looking options. I didn’t want to risk ordering in case they were from the fridge as well. Perhaps if tried during a more busy time/after they run out of pre-made options from the fridge it would be better…
