Great American style bagels. A real, dedicated bagel place in Antwerp and it’s in a great location — right at Eilandje with its beautiful docks.
Relatively healthy, great coffee, and such friendly service. Everything you’d expect from a good bagel shack.

This original American bagel/​coffeebar is located near the beautiful surroundings of the dockyards and the MAS (Museum Aan de Stroom). Just cross the Nassaubridge and walk right into the Nassaustreet and discover a new world filled with delicious bagels. Not only do they look tempting and attractive, they taste absolutly fantastic! Down from the marvelous crispy buns ’till the numerous variety of fillings such as roasted beef with celerysalad, smoked salmon and even nutella chocolat spread with banana. I can guarantee you will be surprised.
The lady behind the counter speaks English and a bit of Dutch but she is still working on that last one :) Do have to say I find her polite and very friendly. She can really tell she’s trying her best.
So the only thing I can say is
get yourselves over there and be Bagelamazed :)
Vlakbij de dokken en het MAS vindt je deze Amerikaanse bagel en koffiebar. Steek gewoon de Nassaubrug over en wandel verder richting de Nassaustraat waar je een ware ontdekking te wachten staat. Mijn bagelwereld is compleet veranderd sinds ik dit plekje ken. Bij The Shack serveren niet alleen aantrekkelijke, — damn dat ziet er goed uit — bagels; ze smaken ook absoluut fantastisch. Perfect, krokante broodjes, allerlei soorten beleg zoals rosbief met seldersalade, gerookte zalme en zelfs nutella met banaan. Je staat gegarandeerd voor een verrassing.
De vrouw des huize Shack’s spreekt Engels maar praat ook al een klein woordje Nederlands. Ik moet zeggen dat ik haar bijzonder beleefd en vriendelijk vindt. Je merkt echt dat ze haar best doet.
Het enige wat ik kan zeggen is
Rep jezelf erheen en be Bagelamazed:)
