Edit: I visited for the first time in about 8 months, and it was like walking into a different store! I HAD to change my review to reflect the changes! It was cleaner — not that it was dirty before, but it was better organized and just generally cleaner. I checked the expiration dates on everything and only a single bag of tortilla chips had gone off. We saw there was only diet Root Beer available and when we asked the owner if he had any regular, he ran out of the store to pick up a new delivery of them off the truck! Also, the prices have dropped! All around improved! — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – These goods are being imported, so be prepared to pay for those extra costs at the register. My main issue here is freshness. Everything is so stale! Things like tostadas and tortilla shells are removed from their original packaging, probably to hide the fact that they went off months ago. For things like soda and candy it doesn’t a difference, but for chips or cereal or sauces? No thank you. I fully accept I will never find a better place to buy cream soda or tomatillos, but I wish that I didn’t have to triple check the expiration date on everything in the entire store.

I’m an American living in Antwerp, Its been a little over a year since i’ve seen American Products! I was skeptical about what I was going to see when I walk into Graré, I LOVEDIT! I was so happy to see almost every favorite of mine! From Beer to Lawrys Seasonings to A1 Steak sauce! They even have laundry cleaning supplies! Every soda you can imagine! The store is pretty tiny, but they have it all there! I was grabbing things of the shelves, with happiness, totally forgetting that i’m not in America, until I went to pay! Get ready, the prices are high, but, I say, its worth it! Example; 4 cans of Coors Light would be about 4US Dollars, here, its costs 8 Euros! Ill still be back! Great store! Great customer service as well!

If at any point you’ve lived in the US… you know there’s so many products you just can’t get here in Belgium;.daarom is dit een pareltje .een echt pareltje. Grare is OPENTOP. Go check it out and see what you’re missing… als ik eraan denk… i start to salivate… mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ;-)

If you love temptations, you love America I love the fact that there’s an American store in my direct area. It’s only a 15 minute drive from the city… Which is in American terms a walk in the park :-). Grare is a small store where you will find any cravings you need when it comes to American styled food or other delights. Going from special kind of M&M’s to butterfingers to my personal favourite mrs Butterworth’s Maple Syrop and everything you need to go with it. Easy-to-make pancakes, brownies and Shake-And-Bake! But… All this doesn’t change the fact that he really ups his prices. I went there and bought a beef stew spice mix, which strangely is better than the Belgian one. I paid $ 1.75 at Harris Teeter in Charleston, SC. Which is like 1,30EUR. Grare charges me 2EUR for one pack of spices. I understand that he has to import and stuff but there a limitation. He charges 46EUR for 24 Budweisers. For that price, i’ll stick to Belgian beer
