habib’s is a very popular middle eastern fast food restaurant which was great for a low budget, late night snack. they also serve more sterotypical fast food items like sandwiches, salads, burgers, pizzas, fries, etc. my friends ordered for us, so i can only semi translate what the order was. :) the feel is very much like a mcdonalds but waiters take food to you. bibsfiha de carne«mini minced beef pie»: this was delicious! light crispy crust with generous toppings of savory meat and minced onions. what. is. not. to. love? they are quite small, so order a lot! :) apparently, it has secret sauce that makes it so addicting. i kept stuffing my mouth with it. quite possibly my favorite! fried kibe: fried meatloaf. based on your taste preferences. i’m not a huge fan of mostly fried stuff, but shell was warm and crispy and the meat inside was savory. charuto de repolho: rolled cabbage w/ground beef. not very memorable. raw kibe: same meat as the fried kibe, but uncooked. it was interesting. i can’t say i went back for seconds much. it was pretty good when mixed with hummus. parking is a little tricky, but there is a very small parking lot next to the complex that habib’s is in. this particular habib’s is also on a busy roundabout, so be watchful of all the bikers and cars. overall, this place is great for group dining on a low budget! :) oh yeah, and menu is in portuguese. :P
