Here in São Paulo, you really have to love the fact that nearly everything is deliverable. If you go to the store and buy a space heater, the person who helped you might also help you carry it home (assuming your home is within walking distance). Buy a 30-​pound dog food bag, yep, someone might help you with that too.
Might as well add water delivery to the list. Granted, this isn’t the high-​tech Culligan man dropping bottles, this is your good ol’ neighborhood delivery man. Thiágua has a little storefront on Rua Artur de Azevedo and you can walk in to set up your service, it’s really easy.
We bought a nifty water pump there and then for R$ 10 (~$ 4 USD), we got a giant bottle (good enough to last the week — we drink a lot of water). Every time we need a new bottle, we dial them directly with our address or pop in. Within minutes, your bottle will be carried over via a special water gallon cart!
