La fuente oficial

Seriously. Best. Service. Ever. (I just needed to get that out of the way).
The waiter was amazing and super nice! He brought us stuff for the dog like cups for her water and made sure we got a spot in the patio where my friends dog would have space to roam. He also was friendly and made jokes and even took our picture (there were a few shots taken due to picky friends who needed to be on their «good side») So yes, all around the service was an A+ (also, I am completely overlooking the fact that the waiter didnt take our order for about 15 minutes but he was THAT good that I didn’t care).
Besides the service, we sat in the terraza, and there were a ton of people outside making for a good atmosphere and view of La Moneda (The White House). I was with a friend that comes all the time and she swears by their veggie burgers, but unfortunately, they were all out (it seems like this happens a lot) so we opted for the mushroom quesadilla and fries. Their fries were great (just how I like them, golden and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside)!! They also have great artesanal beers. I recommend the Imperial draft.
The price is decent — 2.600 for a 500cc schop and if you get a sandwhich they are HUGE (like big enough to split) and cost 5mil.
They also are open on Saturdays and a great place to come for lunch and laze around in their patio — especially if you have a dog.

El centro cívico de Santiago con su perspectiva de edificios gubernamentales y la moneda como telón de fondo, sin dudas es uno de los lugares más hermosos de santiago, arquitectónicamente hablando. Además de tener muchas historias y lugares preciosos para compartir.
Hace años existía un bar en esta misma ubicación llamado el Rimbaud, clásico de la bohemia Santiaguina, donde se daban cita diversos personajes del mundo político e intelectual. El paso del tiempo y la modernidad hicieron que este lugar desapareciera y en su lugar hace unos años se instaló este local llamado la fuente oficial, con una preciosa vista hacia el paseo Bulnes.
Es un local que promete pero que aún le falta un poco para ser considerado un imperdible ya que los sanguches y completos no tienen ese toque que los hace inconfundibles cuando son de fuente de soda con tradición en el cuerpo, no es una picada dados sus precios, pero si destaca entre los locales del sector por las ricas cervezas que ofrece.
Tienen menú de almuerzo y para estar en pleno centro, entrar en este local es hacer un alto y relajarse con la vista. Recomiendo las ensaladas que están bastante buenas y la atención es rápida y amable.
Te recomiendo pedir cervezas heladitas y alguna promo con picoteo, ideal para relajarse en la tarde después de una ardua jornada.
