La historia detrás de este lugar es una de esas historias que te conmueven y te dejan pensando en que con cariño y esfuerzo todo es posible, el dueño un señor de edad empezó este negocio con la ilusión de mostrarle al mundo las delicias de su amada y convertir el sueño del negocio propio en realidad. Desde entonces esta pareja de ancianos viene ofreciendo los mejores dulces y pasteles del barrio en una esquina del centro, siempre tienen pasteles frescos y recién hechos, sus cheesecakes son maravillosos y también el brownie con almendras. El lugar es ideal para tomar un café durante la tarde acompañado de sus galletas con centro de mermelada de frambuesa y azúcar flor y ver como este hombre a pesar de sus avanzada edad atiende a todo el mundo con un encanto único. Puedes comprar los pasteles por trozos o también pedir uno entero con anticipación.

I have been here a few times and every time I leave I tell myself I should return soon(not only because they have great treats, but because the owners are the sweetest couple and deserve steady business). However, whenever I try to get back here I get lost! Considering they are only a few blocks from my house it is pretty embarrassing. This is partially why I have decided to write a review, so their address gets saved in my favorites. The other part is because this café is awesome! It has real, rich espresso and homemade cakes and cookies. I especially love their cookies. Their mousse is also pretty good! Like I said in the beginning, the owners, an old married couple, are extremely sweet, just like their cakes(too much?) The husband started Matisse for his wife, so she could serve her cakes(how cute is that?!) If you live around here, come and meet them and enjoy a coffee and cake.
