Just another neighbourhood bar, except for a couple of details. Most importantly, it’s the lovechild of a beer-loving bar owner and the beer of a fine, Czech brewery — Svejk omports their own beer, and I’m pretty sure you can’t get it anywhere else in Denmark. It also has a really nice laid back atmosphere and I’ve always had the kind of good, personal service that makes you feel welcome. The décor is classic Danish«Brunt værtshus» and the customers a diverse crowd, young and old, workers and academics.

If you are not a local, don’t go to this pub. The bartender was great but the owner was completely inappropriate and rude. 20+ international business students came to watch a World Cup game at midnight and were the only people in the bar other than his 3 friends. He yelled at everyone because we weren’t drinking fast enough within the first 10 minutes of arriving. He is honestly the only Danish person who we have met who was a jerk during our trip. What he didn’t realize was he may have coerced us into drinking a couple more beers one night but lost business from us during our stay the next 6 weeks.

This seems like a really good pub. We came here in the daytime to try and get something to eat(they don’t do food), but got directed to somewhere that did and welcomed to come back and eat it there. Old trad pub décor inside, and seems to be one of the few busy places in Frederiksberg of a week night.
