Having frequented the London branches of the chain I was extremely keen to visit the restaurant chain whilst in its home of Denmark. We were a group of 8 and were not at all disappointed. Food was excellent as was the service, it also catered for all dietary preferences. Once again another good meal at Sticks and Sushi.

This is my second sticks and sushi that I have been to and I must say the one in Tivoli is a bit better. However, I loved the food and it definitely is my favourite sushi chain in town. If you are a sushi lover I would recommend this place to you. The food is fresh and they have a great menu with amazing variety. It is a bit expensive but you pay for what you get! There are two menus, one where they have their whole food variety and one for the fixed menus. I find that the menu in Tivoli hotel was slightly easier to guide through and the fixed menu card had larger variety. The tables are a bit small and even though we were four they put us to a square table where we hardly could fit all the food. The service was very friendly and helpful but we had to wait quite a lot of time for the food to come out and then it came all at once, although we had ordered salads which could have come first. Generally a good experience with some room of improvement. Will go back for another sushi experience.

I came here again last week after craving sushi and thought I would give it another shot. Honestly, I am still not convinced that this is the best Copenhagen has. We got a started the meal with the monte carlo roll(great!) and then ordered the«Upgrade» platter with vegetables to dip in sauces, assorted sushi/rolls and ended with tuna, chicken, and goat cheese sticks. I will say that their salmon is the best I’ve had so I recommend getting some salmon nigiri if you order a la carte. The rolls were too gimmicky for my taste, especially with the wasabi beads. I liked the duck rolls, as they reminded me of lettuce wraps you would find at a thai place. The tuna stick was good, but again a bit too reliant on the sauce to make it taste good. Our service was much better than the first time I visited– we had a Swedish woman serve us who was both quick and friendly. However, at the end of the meal, we were forgotten and it took about 15 minutes to get the check. They were busy redecorating the windowsills…

As far as sushi goes in Copenhagen, I haven’t found any better. And this is delicious! It is in an upscale price range, but you definitely get your money’s worth. As the restaurant is pretty popular, it is a good idea to make a reservation beforehand. It only takes a few minutes online. The experience starts with a towel for cleaning your hands(I always enjoy that. Warm, undless it is very warm outside, then you get a cold towel). The edamame beans are definitely a must try, the seasoning is very delicious. I haven’t tried the sticks, but for the sushi, I have not tried anything here that isn’t worth the try. My personal favourites(if anyone is interested) are the coal crab maki, the rice paper rolls with duck, the ebi tempura maki, and rainbow roll. Try it, its delicious!

The sushi is all great, and my factoid sticks are the goat cheese wrapped in ham and the scallops. Start with the spicy edamame. It is almost always crowded so make reservations. Easy to do on their website. Staff is friendly.

Really a lovely place. I really enjoyed lunch here. The sushi was really good, and the entire meal was nice and fancy. …although expensive. The people were really nice. This isn’t the most amazing sushi I’ve ever had, maybe not worth 5 stars but definitely worth 4.5, if I could do that.

Best sushi in the area I know of, but a bit pricey. Their sticks are also delicious. Basically the quality is pretty consistent in every sticks and sushi I have been to… Btw. if anybody found an exceptional sushi place somewhere in Cph, please tell me!
