Friendly waiters, pretty cozy but the food was SO bland and I think we got a whole tablespoon of guacamole for our cold unsalted nachos.

Slow service and below average food. Expensive. I sat here for 20 minutes waiting to order, and the food came out about 45 minutes later. Very slow service and food. The food was not very tasty. It was very bland. I tried some nachos as a starter, and then went for the pizza. Both were extremely bland. I guess my expectations were too high. Unfortunately, due to its location, this is more of a tourist restaurant. I had to ask for the bill 3 to 4 times and it finally came after I had been at this restaurant for almost 2 hours. Very slow. Do yourself a favor and walk one street over to Laederstraede and eat ANYWHERE on Laederstraede. Lots of better choices and selection. Sorry Mama Rosas. Don’t do it.

Decent pizza, okay service. It’s well located in the Old City, but that’s about it.

I should have checked the reviews before coming here, but my son wanted the pizza that they advertised(then ordered the spaghetti!). The food was mediocre at best. The chicken was cold. The salmon salad small. The spaghetti was dry. Worse than the food was the service. It took 20 minutes to get the order in. Make sure you order drinks and food at the same time or you’ll be longer than 20. Then we didn’t see a server again until our food was ready which was 35 minutes. This was 3pm. Way after the lunch crowd. I can’t imagine what it would be like at a busy meal time.

Extremely poor service. We waited for 30mins before we asked how long the food was going to take. We were told 2−5mins. We waited another 10mins and then we were told that the order was not placed at all! With the sorry faces we were told that it will take 10mins at that point we left and had express service at McDonald’s. Very disappointed with the service. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Sorry to say. But I am not going to this restaurant. Ever.

Jeez really awfull, had ravioli that was still frozen in the middle, probably the microcawe was out of order. Asked the waitress whats this? She just brought the plate back to the micro or put some more sauce on it. Couldnt finnish the dish… Actually think they where serving catfood, we had 3 dishes and all had the same terrible excuse for sauce. After they asked if i want to leave tips… Just glad if my stomach dont get upset after this

Rudest waiter I’ve ever had in my life!!! Not only was he completely condescending, he was physically rude as well, he handed me a plate & I grabbed it from him to save him the trouble of reaching over me, he then FOURCEFULLy set it down in front of me, clealy trying to intimadate me, the guy is either a misanthrope or a psychopath, or maybe a bit of both…

Rats! Stay away! Ate there last night since it was the only place open in the area. after the meal we heard a piercing noise coming from the 2nd floor seating area. I thought it was a parrot or something. My friends said it was a rat caught in a trap. We asked the waiter what the noise was and he said«what noise» and that«this is an old building that makes odd noises»!! Gross! Maybe it came up from the bathrooms which are a cesspool!!!

This place had the most terrible food and also has some crooks working there. We asked for tap water and the waiter said they don’t serve tap water. However he sold us 2 large bottled waters at 85 DKs($ 16) in which he never brought out the bottles, instead he said he split into 3 large glasses. The water tasted like tap water and it was never bottled water. He never gave us a hard copy restaurant bill, instead did the math of our bill in his head and charged us per his calculations. The food was old and the chicken wings looked like they were 5 days old. The entire family had acid indigestion the hold night. If you love yourself DONOT dine at this place.

I went once and wouldn’t go again. I felt like a stupid tourist being in that restaurant. Typical tourist restaurants with a huuuuge menu where you can get Italian, Mexican, steaks or whatever you want. Never a good sign when the menu is too large! And the food was not good. I guess it’s a good place if you re in the centre and you re super hungry, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Hard to believe that a place doing this level of business has zero reviews, but here goes. I was originally skeptical of this place. It’s combination Mexican/Italian? Two genres that really don’t share much, if you ask me. And the menu is enormous. Cheesecake Factory might be able to pull this off, making seemingly everything under the sun decently. But can a random spot in Copenhagen? I dunno. In the end, a table full of people devouring pizza called to me — and I grabbed a table outside. I was shown to my seat, by the way, by a classic old guy, dressed in a tux and speaking four or five languages to the various tables. He was most apologetic when he mistook an Estonian couple for Finnish. For shame. Anyway, I went with a pizza and was pleasantly satisfied. It’s a big helping, nice chewy crust, good tangy sauce, and mine had(scant) mushrooms, spicy Italian salami, and rocket salad. Enormous menu and Mexican tie-in be damned, this was A-OK. Add to that the fact that it was only 99DKK, I feel like this becomes a relative deal in a quite expensive Copenhagen. If you just want something to fill you up, I think this is your joint, located conveniently on Strøget.

My first restaurant experience in Copenhagen, and couldn’t have picked a worse place. Well, I am exaggerating a bit… but this place is in the center of Strøget is a tourist trap. If you are visiting Copenhagen, be smart and search some other places on the side streets and avoid eating along this famous shopping street. The service was horrible, we were seated upstairs alone in our group and the staff would rarely come up and check on us, and the food took forever to come. We ordered shrimp, pizza, and pasta. None of it was memorable enough, plus it was extremely overpriced and extremely salty. The food made me very thirsty, but like many places in the city, you have to pay around 40kr for water… so I put down 5 extra kroner or so for a well drink. The food is not horrible, but it will take a long time, and you will be overpaying. Thus, I would not recommend Mama Rosa or ever come back again.

Food was good considering I did not come all the way from the US to eat Mexican food! Service a little slow. The guy in the next table ask for the check and the waiter never brought it to him. He had to go to the register & pay for it! You get plenty to eat!

Found this restaurant too on a nice walk down Stroget. The restaurant seem a bit touristy(plastic menus, hundreds of items, not a locals hangout). I set my expectations lower, but was pleasantly suprised by the food which was a pretty good quality at an average Copenhagen price. My Calzone had a very fresh taste, compared to the processed Calzones I expect in US. Service was perfectly fine. I would not travel across town for this place, but if walking by don’t hesitate to eat at Mamas.

I thought this was a decent Mexican food place, despite some reviews I had read elsewhere. The house wine was a decent drink, as was my Baileys Coffee and my tacos were tasty. Friendly service.

I found this restaurant while walking about Stroget. Oddly, It is an Italian/Mexican restaurant. I had Italian both nights. The carpaccio was pretty good and the service was friendly and reliable. For those who don’t speak Danish, no worries: they spoke very good English as in most Copenhagen establishments. The food is good, but the atmosphere is very cozy and on a hot humid summer night, it’s fun to sit outside with the rest of Copenhagen. It’s dimly lit and the Danish beer(if you’re a beer drinker) was superb. Favorite Dish: For the appetizer, I really enjoyed the Carpaccio. If you don’t like raw beef, this may not suit you. In that case, the individual pizza dishes are very good too. On a Friday night at around 8pm, reservations were not needed. The service is slow by American standards, but prompt by European standards. Besides, what’s the rush? Although the food is not spectacular, it did the job after a long day of walking.

OK, but somehow it lacks the charm it used to have when it was an Italian restaurant. It’s a mixture now between italian and mexican. A restaurant placed in a former designer clothe store. So it’s slightly odd.
