During my time in Copenhagen, while I was relaxing with my travel companions, a lady that I recently met mentioned that Danish ice cream is pretty good. During my last hours in Copenhagen, I went to this place, and I realised that this is a very big brand throughout Denmark. The location I went to was within Torvehallerne, and it was a small stall with a lot of different flavours. I sampled a few flavours, and the flavour that really stood out to me was their rhubarb sorbet. It definitely had a nice, not too sweet, flavour and the creaminess was just right. Also, the flavour did not taste artificial, so it seems freshly made. I liked this particular flavour so much that I actually bought a small cup. Other flavours I sampled were the Stracciatella, and the Peanut Caramel Chocolate Chip. All the flavours had a great creamy flavour, a decent sweetness, and had a fairly fresh taste to it. Overall, I enjoyed the ice cream here and it definitely had a unique creamy flavour that I might not find in my local ice cream shops. Looking at the Danish reviews of this place and other sister locations, it appears that there have been plenty of disappointments and it might not be the best place to get ice cream in Copenhagen. I didn’t think my experience was that bad, the man working at the time was pretty friendly, and the prices were also reasonable. If you’re looking for a decent introduction to Danish ice cream during the summer in Copenhagen, this is a pretty good choice.
