Great food! We got a table for dinner on a Sunday without reservation, but I would reserve to be sure. The staff was super friendly. I can’t believe you have to pay for tap water, but overall a great dining experience.

Copenhagen is an expensive place, so trying to find a meal for our anniversary had to not be fancy, but still be tasty food with a good atmosphere, and Tight delivered. We got there just after they opened and there was a little bit of teeth-sucking when we said we didn’t have a reservation(bearing in mind this was 5:10pm on a Monday in May…) but a table was found for us upstairs and we weren’t given any restriction on time or rushed in any way. So if you can make a reservation, please do — I think it makes them more comfortable. I had read about Tight’s burger, and that it won some local awards so for me it was an easy choice. Brian had pork because I don’t much care for it so he never gets it at home — perfect restaurant food. There aren’t a lot of choice on the menu, actually, but I’d rather a restaurant did fewer things well. We weren’t excited by starters so ordered just mains. Some bread was brought out, something to do with coal. It’s black and a bit sweet. It was nice but not amazing, and be warned when your body is done with it that things are going to be a funny colour *ahem*. Anyway, in addition to the few tables that were there when we arrived, a couple more came so even though it was early there was a good vibe. The building is a bit New York loft style, with exposed brick and dim lighting. So the food — my burger was huge. Like ridiculously huge. It comes on foccacia with mushrooms and onions and bacon and cheese and enough potatoes on the side to end a famine. I enjoyed it but wasted a fair bit of food(I could eat my leftovers now, please!) The pork dish and my burger, along with a couple of Cokes came to £40 — for Copenhagen, that’s okay. The service is lovely and attentive without being annoyingly so. I’d go back!

Having seen the good reviews online for Tight, we decided to make it the meal for our wedding anniversary while in Copenhagen. We arrived a little early, not realising that it wasn’t open during the afternoon. We managed to kill some time with a sit down at a nearby pub, and by rushing up to the American Pie Company to buy dessert ahead of time, and of course visiting a Christmas shop. So we came back just after Tight opened and it was already starting to fill up. The staff were very welcoming, and I’m glad we had them to guide us over the multi-level restaurant. We were seated on what I think was the upper level. There was a couple of groups off to our right and one large group to our left, so there was already a good ambience buzzing. We’d already studied the menu quite meticulously before arriving, and so we knew what we wanted ahead of time, so ordering wasn’t an issue. The food came not to quickly, but just at the right time so that you know it wasn’t rushed out. My wife had the well-known burger, while I had the pork schnitzel deluxe. The burger was really good; unusual but not odd. Everything worked. The pork was quite strong tasting itself, but this balanced against the other items on the plate, in particular the mustard. I was very satisfied with the dish, and was excellent.

Overall Score: 5 Service/Ambiance Rating: 5 Food Rating: 5 I was a bit hesitant to enter after I saw the sign for Tight outside. The branding seems unfitting for what the establishment really is. The current font face makes it look grungy, but in reality it’s a bit more sophisticated. I ordered mussels as a recommendation for an appetizer and a burger; both were delicious. To enhance the eating experience, the waitress was just lovely. She always had a smile on her face and was very attentive. This place easily exceeded my expectations. I will say that after seeing the prices and bill, this place is more«$$$» in terms of USD.

Tight is a nice robust restaurant, which to me, was hidden away on one of the streets around Strøget. Seriously, I’ve never heard of it. Is it just me? It has to be. When we got there we decided to have a mango daiquiri. It was a bit too creamy for me, a bit too much liqueur. I choose to get the asparagus risotto. It was super weird to me that they offer chicken in the risotto. Since to me it doesn’t really fit with the asparagus combo. To each their own. Add a glass of the house white wine to that and the meal was absolutely made. The risotto was absolutely delicious. Their drink menu was really pleasing, they have a wide variety of both white, red and rosé wine. For dessert I had the three pot array of crème brûlée. Which to the unknown is three small crème brûlée pots with three different flavors; licorice, coffee and vanilla. I was not disappointed except for the fact that I couldn’t feel the licorice one at all. Two of them both tasted like coffee. But to be honest, it was so good that I don’t even care and I might have been a bit buzzed to give a damn when they plated it in front of me, it was visually gorgeous. Will I return? Perhaps. When I can afford it again. It is a bit steep for what it is.

Cool place offering quite a large variety of dishes and drinks. I had the burger and it was super good: first, the size is pretty generous and everything that comes with it is delicious! The focaccia bread, the cheese, the bacon, the vegetables… I highly recommend it for burger lovers. Overall large portions, good cocktails and attentive staff.

Super nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. Plus the service was excellent — although most of them are from the U. K, so they probably don’t speak Danish. We ordered 2 hamburgers and were delicious, at a fair price. The restaurant is located just behind the shopping street. It has two floors and it’s pretty big — and very hygge! We will definitely come back :-)

The biggest craft burger in Copenhagen! Seriously, if you want a massive burger, come to Tight. This place is busy, fairly small, and darkly lit. I was able to sneak in without a reservation at 7pm… but had to give up the table at 8! You really need a reservation to eat here, as I watched it pack up completely on a Thursday night! The burger is a monster, and that is what they are known for… it has everything on it(cheese, mushrooms, veggies, lettuce, and some other items I could not see… again, it is pretty darkly lit). It was wonderful! The sides are good, and you have several to choose from. Get the burger, have a drink(they have a full bar), and enjoy yourself! But get that reservation…

Nice food, French cuisine. The menu is quite limited but the options they have taste great. The wine list is very decent. The place is quite dark and you sit on stools so not a place to take your parents for dinner.

Delicious food. Known for their burger — 6 out of 6 stars. It was delicious. Mussels were great too. Yummy drinks. All for a very reasonable price in copenhagen(website has prices). And the staff was great. Our waitress was very friendly and quick with service. Also there is an English menu and every speaks English — won’t be a communication issue

Wow! What a burger. They have only one burger menu. It was not the traditional burger with bun, but with focaccia. The bread was deliciously warm and crispy. The combination of perfect burger meat with almost no fat, fresh onion, mushroom, some other vegetables, and cheese was just excellent. The Emmental cheese was nothing like the one you can buy in a local supermarket. So savory, it blended so well with the burger. I couldn’t eat the burger with my hand, so I had to use fork and knife, no biggie. Though I didn’t like the aioli, cause I thought it was bland, and was not fitting well with the burger and the roasted baby potatoes. I wish I didn’t drink the ginger soda drink before I ate. It made me full fast.

I’m happy to say that I’ve tried the burger which was rated 6⁄6 in . Though it was not the classic combo, it was still very good. The first thing that threw me off was that it was served on focaccia instead of a bun. It was served warm and toasted and worked well, but I actually would have preferred the breadrolls they served with butter. Those were fascinating; completely black both inside and out from charcoal but faintly sweet and nicely buttery. The burger also came with mushrooms and gruyère, which I thoroughly enjoyed. That cheese was an excellent choice and I love mushrooms. I was not crazy about the caramelized onions as they seemed to need a little longer in the pan, but they were still ok. Of course it also came with the classic toppings of lettuce, tomato, and bacon, and who doesn’t like those? As a whole, it was a good restaurant burger. I was able to eat it with my hands and only make a little bit of a mess. The roast potatoes were good… but I like fries with a burger. And make fun of this American all you want, but I am never going to eat mayo with potatoes like that, so I can’t comment on how the aioli was. The price was ok, and the meal was very filling. Our whole table remarked how glad we were that we didn’t order starters as we patted our bellies. The service was good and was done completely in English. As we left, the restaurant was almost full and people were being turned away at the door with the next table being free an hour from then. So reservations are recommended. Next time I would like to try the ribs!

This place is a dud. Lots of potential, poor execution. Had the Burger which was overpriced and under delivered. Of the three of us that ordered it, not a single one enjoyed their burger. They were tolerable, but the combination of ingredients used in the burger, potato wedges, and fries just didn’t work. It had hints of horseradish in the burger and about the only thing that did stand out was that they managed to actually cook it medium rare. Everything about the place seems half-assed and like a half-carried through concept. The bathrooms were also a mess with the men’s toilet damaged and just generally worn down. The overall execution, way they served the coke, and various other elements just makes the place feel gimicky and tacky despite what would be a very nice ambiance. About the only thing that wasn’t sub-par or strikingly mediocre was their charcoal bread. Perhaps the rest of their food is better but their burger is a disaster. For better flavor and price go elsewhere. I won’t be returning.

‘Twas a cold Monday night and after a hard days work, I needed to treat my palate and my stomach to something extraordinary. Having read great things about this new world newcomer i the old town of Copenhagen, I decided to take myself and a friend to further examine the phenomenon. We were greeted by a very kind waitress, who introduced herself by first name and was extremely helpful throughout our meal. We immediately felt at home in the cozy surroundings, dim light and wooden décor aiding the warm atmosphere. I don’t always order starters — but when I do, it’s because I really can not bear to miss out on anything. I would have ordered all the starters if I thought I could contain them, because each and every one of them looked overly delicious. I chose a soup from Jerusalem artichokes, drizzled with truffle oil and topped off with crisps made from Jerusalem artichokes. The soup was creamy and fluffy, completely smooth without lumps and not the least bit gritty. The truffle oil complemented the sweet Jerusalem artichoke flavor to perfection. My companion went with the beef carpaccio, also truffle-drizzled and with the mushy consistency that characterizes a perfect carpaccio. For out main course, we both ordered the surf’n’turf. Because Australia, baby. It’s been a long time since I had steak cooked to perfection, but this one took the cake. I prefer rare. Not medium. Not medium rare. Rare as in «hey steak, how about looking at the picture of the man who invented the frying pan for about a minute”-rare. Lots of restaurants don’t get the concept. This one does. Add the scrumptious shellfish sauce and the garlic marinated tiger prawns, and you got yourself perfection. I shall personally see to it that this restaurant does never find itself in need of hungry visitors!

My friends chose this place for dinner. After reading the reviews, I came in with expectations, but wasn’t disappointed. We were quickly seated upstairs when we got in. Our waiter brought us the menus and water; not too much to choose from on the menu. After ordering, our waiter brought us some bread(black bread rolls). Service was great throughout our dinner! We ordered crab cakes for starters and it came with some spicy sauce and a wedge of lemon, great presentation. They tasted good as well, good amount of flavor and actual crab. For entrees, we ordered the tight burger, ½ rack of ribs and the surf n turf. The ribs(fall off the bone good) were probably the best of the 3, my friend ate ALL of it. I liked the tight burger as well and they made it exactly as ordered, medium rare; it was balanced with the salad and vegs. in it. My friend liked her shrimp from her surf n turf, but her steak was undercooked when she ordered it medium. She probably could’ve sent it back, but she ate it anyway. It wasn’t bad, just not what she expected. Overall a nice dining experience during our time in Copenhagen.

Coming from a city that pretty much works 24⁄7 and getting into Copenhagen — that even though is the capital, has pretty limited working hours for businesses and restaurants — was a little complicated. I’m used to dine late, I’m used to have load of options, and I discovered that it is not the case around here. When in Denmark do it like the Danes, or search on Unilocal to find a place that has an open kitchen after 10pm. I’m so glad I found Tight, and so far this is one of my favorite dinning spots in Denmark. Came with a friend on a Saturday nigh, place is tiny but we didn’t have a problem to find a table. Staff was gentle and nice, and while we saw the menu they served us water and recommended drinks. Both of us had burgers, and they were enormous, which is a little unlikely. Cocktails are also very nice, but this will increase your bill a little bit. Average price per person will be around 20 euros if you don’t order cocktails. Cozy environment, good food and affordable price — I will be seeing more of you Tight!

So I finally visited tight and I must say I was not disappointed! I haven’t been to the U.S.A. but I imagine the food and service to be exactly like this. The service was excellent. Most people that worked there spoke perfect English and they were not Danish. They came to ask us if everything was fine and made sure that we were satisfied. They also were good at proposing good wines and explained everything about their dishes. The food was good and it’s all about large portions and meat! If you are a girl take the small portion as it will be enough! I had the ribs and they were delicious but large! They came also with delicious mashed potatoes that had garlic and some other spices. Very good! If you like meat it’s a perfect place to get a good dish and not pay a crazy amount of money for it. The restaurant is located very centrally near strøget. I was also pleased about the indoor environment. It was very warm and had nice seating areas with low lighting. I also arrived there alone as my friend was late and they made sure I would feel comfortable and that I had everything I needed! It was a perfect evening!

Tight was actually our second option when another place was fully booked but it turned out to be a great back up choice. The first thing that stands out about the place is it is really smart and cool looking restaurant. Not formal, just quite trendy and welcoming. The next thing is the staff, who are VERY friendly and know their job exceptionally well. They are always ready to serve when needed, notice every detail, but are not in anyway intrusive to your meal. The beerson the menu were quirky and different from the norm with a few Australian IPA’s I had never tried before. I got a lovely one called Little Creatures. The only slight downside was the food. I thought it was good, but not amazing. The starter crab cakes were a bit plain. The much hyped burgers was good, but nothing particularly outstanding. I enjoyed the meat patty and the chopped roast potatoes on the side were tremendous, but the burger bread was insufficient for the job it is meant to do.(Hold the burger!) A great place for an evening meal which you will enjoy, but you won’t be blown away by the food. Still the general atmosphere and service pushes it to a 4 and not a 3.

I love this place ! We went only a week in Copenhagen, but in this week we went twice in the restaurant. First of all, the majority of the menu is gluten free, which is pretty rare. More over, it often happens that gluten free food is tasteless, but here, the food is delicious. I took the steack twice, it comes with a little salad and mashed potatoes. The meat is probably one of the most tender meats I ever tasted. My boyfriend tried the ribs the first time, he really loved it, the meat was really tender as well and perfectly cooked, the barbecue sauce was awesome as well. He tried the Canard confit the second time and he found it very good too even if he was a bit disappointed by the quantity. We also tried the salmon carpaccio which was very tasteful and full of different spices. And one of the deserts(composed of a rolled gluten free cake and some meringue) that was very good too even if i was disappointed it wasn’t dairy free. Last but not least, the waiters and waitress are adorable, smiling and thoughtful as possible. I’d really recommend this place !
