Went here for our anniversary dinner while in Copenhagen. Great atmosphere and great food too. I stuck with the Tony’s special while she got the cold soup and risotto. Everything was amazing but the spaghetti and meatballs was off the charts. Something about the linguini pasta and the sauce.

Went to Tonys with my coworkers for an early dinner. We all ordered the 3 course menu with vitello tonnato, meatballs and tiramisu — and we all loved it. I was surprised by the tiramisu with some kind of caramel crumbled on the top, really delicious. Pretty, comfi and cosy place near the harbour. A really satisfying meal at a very low cost.

The Everyday Gourmet Empire Strikes Back — with excellence and pride. «Madklubben» yet again presents a world class restaurant for the people. No, this is not a white table cloth Sterling silverware flawless china plate crystal Bourgogne glass kind of restaurant — and neither are you expected to wear black tie or high heels. This, ladies and gentlemen, is Danitaliamerican cuisine at its very best, in a laid back atmosphere with cool Scandinavian design, overlooking the Copenhagen habour. There’s starters, entrés, main courses, cheeses and dolces — all at prices which allow you to splurge on a G&T while waiting for your order. The menu changes all the time, so I cannot make any recommendations besides the classic meat balls which is kind of a fixture in this establishment. And I have rarely encountered such friendly and service minded waiters. Thank you for adding to the premium food experience with your kindness and humor!

When I travel to Copenhagen, my wallet becomes an onion. I cry every time I open it =*( It was no different at Tony’s, being located on the waterfront near Nyhavn. Expect premium prices. Despite going against my gut feeling(no Italian food in Copenhagen!) I was craving for pasta. So, we ended up at Tony’s after walking around the area. We shared a salumi board with the proper accoutrements while enjoying our vino. This restaurant wants you to enjoy a leisurely time connecting with your tablemates so … the wait can be long. The pastas are sizable, but lacking real flavors with a punch that I love in italian food. Even a simple spaghetti with meatballs was so … boring. I’m yawning right now as I type this. And my wallet is still crying.

I am so disappointed to write this, and I sincerely hope this was just a one off experience for me, but I had been looking forward to eating here for 2 years since they have truffle macaroni. When we first got there, it was confusing where to go, so we went upstairs asking someone if this was the right spot. They shortly told us to go back downstairs because that is where you are suppose to be greeted. Since no one was helping us the first time we were a bit confused, so we went down the stairs again, only to be greeted and taken back upstairs to a table. Once seated, it took awhile to be greeted, and we were never brought bread. The crostini is very delicious as was the salad, so that was a good start. However, once the main dish of meatballs came we had no silverware. So trying to be helpful we grabbed some from the cupboard, only to be scolded by the waitstaff and told it was not ok to help ourselves. Letting this go, we continued to enjoy our meal, but had still not received our side dish of truffle macaroni. Once finished with the meatballs they went to clear our plates and ask for dessert, but I mentioned we never had the macaroni, and were specifically waiting for that, so they apologized and brought it afterwards… and unfortunately I have definitely had better. As we sat drinking our wine, the waitress asked if we wanted our bill since we weren’t eating dessert, and we said fine. Once it was brought over, she then asked how we wanted to pay which seemed really inappropriate since we still had wine left and we were sitting there enjoying it, so I asked if we could finish our wine first before pressured to leave. I really like Madklubben Steak and their entire concept, but really, there are so many other great Italian places in the city to spend your money on. Don’t waste your time and money on this place.

Great service, good food nice atmosphere and nice location. Food: Loved all the main courses I tried. The pasta orichiette was so fulfilling I couldn’t even finish half of it. The pasta with meatballs was also really good, with a tasty red sauce. The antipasti we had, a plate with sausages and cheese was also tasty but slightly overpriced as it had the +50 dkk per person. For desert the gelato was delicious but the key lime pie was a bit too sweet for my taste, so my friend are it for me. But that’s just a matter of taste. When you go remember to check the +prices as it might get fast to a higher price than the offer of 1plate=100dkk, 2plates=150dkk, 3plates=200dkk, 4plates=250dkk.

Fantastic food, amazing service, beautiful atmosphere! 5th star not given because the only not alcoholic drinks are cola, fizzy water or tap water! Oh, the time till the food arrive at the table was long, but we were rewarded by the taste. We were a group of 4, so we of course asked for different stuff and tried each other’s. For starters we had the day’s special witch was an antipasti plater with 3 different salami slices, fried/grilled aubergine, parmesan cheese, some beans purée and something undetermined(we didn’t ask… how smart of us!) that tasted delicious! The only blemish of this plate was it’s prise. 100dkk per head is too much! For the mains, I had the«Piggy», which is pork shank with cauliflower purée, carrots. I wasn’t amazed by the sauce, but my God… the meat was melting in my mouth. Absolutely perfectly cooked! My hangover friend could finished her«Orrichette», so I had to step in and not let it thrown away(what a shame would that be). It’s a pasta dish with Pleurotus mushrooms, Salsiccia sausage, sage and chilli. I didn’t fill the chilli, but it was delightful nevertheless. We also had two plates of «Tony’s spaghetti & meatballs» and the were very nice. High quality means, nicely seasoned. For dessert we got the«key lime pie»(a successful twist of the classic lemon pie) and the«gelato-sorbetto»(every day the make different flavours). The peach sorbet was out of this world.
